You must be one of those habitual rock throwers on prep threads. Like I told you on another thread, it’s a choice. You choose to sit, we choose to prep. You do your thing, we do our thing. Simple.

If you can organize 10,000 people then you have it made. Even a 1,000 would be enough if your community is still the biggest fish in the pond.

It is important to remember that the "larger community" has only what its members have. So if nobody preps then your whole 10,000 strong group will be hungry. Lack of supplies is a physical, material fact, and no organizing can grow a cow in a week. Those supplies have to come from somewhere. Perhaps there are hunters in your community and plenty of deer around the town; perhaps someone knows how to fish with a net and there are fishing boats available; but if not then you are still hungry, even if you have thousands of people at your command.

Best to stick to wings or fish. Easy to digest and require very little water for digestion.
In fact, fish requires only the water it contains for digestion.
Don't do that. It contains the tri-saccharides and the breakdown products that WILL cause gastric distress.
You may lose more water from the screaming sh@ts than you gain from the liquid.

Well, I did, and I'm saying something about it. If you can't deal with that, you might be better off at a prepper forum where only the likeminded post. As far as I know, prepperism isn't part of the FR mission statement. It's not a community value here and is fair game for criticism, especially when it's associated with an obnoxious article like the one that was posted.
Amen. Every single kitchen I worked in while in the US, I took an aloe vera plant to donate to the kitchen. Military and commercial kitchens, both. Aloes love the fluorescent lights, and the cooks learn to love the plants.

Canned broth is part of my preps. We have lots of water, but in a low-to-no-power situation, it will be either hand pumped or hauled. Aldis or Shurfine usually have plain chicken or beef broth for around 60 cents/can.
When I was researching Cowboy Beans recipes, they stated that the old cooks used to save all the coffee dregs to add to the boiling water for the beans. It does taste good and they were out West, so I assume they were also saving water.

We once got a bill for 2 dogs, 2 catz and 47 assorted rabbits, bucks, mothers and babies for a house call.
It was about $50 and the dogs and catz all got shots and she gave me meds for a case of wry neck that had shown up in the rabbits.
Country vets are cool people.
