Like Obamacare, Romneycare was a Democrat bill. He didn't propose it. It was drawn up by the Democrat-controlled legislature. He watered it down the best he could by making it elective thru employers. According to my friends in Mass. the voters wanted it (my friends didn't). Voters haven't elected conservatives to overturn it and supposedly the polls say they're happy with it.

Repeating all the leftwing crap doesn't help anything.

Someone else. Obama and Romney are two sides of the same coin. Their actual records in government are identical: Abortionism, homosexualism, global warmingism, gun-control, statism, crony capitalism, Keynesian economics, elitist government control, socialist health care, liberal judges and appointees, etc. Look it up.

There are a couple differences though. Romney was first to successfully implement homosexual marriage and socialized healthcare complete with mandates against the formerly free people and planned parenthood death panels and $50.00 taxpayer funded abortion.

Hoorah for our side!!

You have me confused with someone else. Nixon? Reagan? I’ve never said anything like that to you. I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I’m sure you’re a sweet lady and I was just messin’ with you.

I like your tag line...

You’re (and I) fighting a losing battle here...but it’s one to be fought with honor. Regretfully, we’ve got to pick our battles and try to win small fights...otherwise we’ll get banned for our beliefs.

Continue the fight...Obama is NOT acceptable. Romney is. If people here can’t see that we’ve got several more months to change their opinions.

If things don’t change here then there may not be a Free Republic in November.

Amen! The Tea Party will be the cavalry. At least that’s what I’m counting on.

I like your handle.

Every citizen has the right and I believe responsibility to cast an informed vote as they see fit. So I don't take issue with anyone who votes "for" Mr. Romney. They and they alone must live with that vote and their motives behind casting it. Personally I left the Republican reservation about 14 years ago. It was not an easy decision, but after considerable thought and yes, even prayer I accepted the fact that the GOP no longer represented my core Constitutional Conservative/Traditional values.

I know that I will not live to see the GOP replaced by a true Conservative Party, but in my remaining years I will no longer drink from the Kool-Aide the GOP is dishing out!

Not voting for Romney is a blueprint for an Obama victory, and that's not nonsense but a fact. He can't win if we don't vote for him. And if he doesn't win, 0 does. It's as simple as that. Romney is not my boy but he's not Obama.

And after having done that, I’ll yet bet a dozen doughnuts that his fall campaign will declare both to be execrable ideas. Without the slightest sense of irony.

Sheesh!! GIVE US A BREAK!! Romey still loves his bastard brainchild TODAY and still brags about it as being a “conservative free-market solution!!” Look it up if you don’t believe me.

Check out Pam Bondi boasting that she has been asked to serve on Romey’s new National Health Care Task Force and how Romney’s solution is “good” health care and listen to her claims that RomneyCare is constitutional at the state level and that they already have twenty six states lined up to impose it on us.

Bondi was on Fox’s Greta bragging about this crap just four months ago:

Continued accumulation of Primary delegates in the remaining State Primaries is the key to improving Paul’s chances of forcing the GOP-E to hold an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

Paul will then have completed his main task in this Primary: giving the delegates the freedom to DUMP ROMNEY!

My goal is to defeat the insanity of Keyensian Economics in “both” of our very sorry political parties THIS YEAR!

This can be accomplished by the Delegates choosing a stellar Dark Horse Nominee, such as R-Rep. West of Florida, to slaughter Obama in a November Landslide.

The key is to FORCE the GOP-E to allow for an OPEN Convention in Tampa. Without an OPEN Convention the SOS of INSANE Federal Spending will keep America on the same crowded track with Greece, and Kalifornia.

There are over 15, 000, 000, 000, 000 reasons why spending more money this year than was taken in during the previous year is an INSANE path to financial destruction.

Neither Obama or Romney have presented a plan to spend our Federal dollars in a non-insane manner.

For example, the GOP Elite have stood in line to endorse Romney, to endorse “The Ryan Budget,” and to compromise-away every opportunity to reduce Federal Spending.

I included the Ryan Budget, because Rep. Paul Ryan himself says that his “Budget” will balance in 30 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I added those exclamation points, because both you and I know that Ryan’s budget will NEVER balance, and thus will never be a fact. The exclamation points are just for volume emphasis.

I hope he changed his principles from when he supported the Equal Rights Amendment, and raised money and campaigned for Douglass Wilder for Governor.

Don't yell at me. It hurts my feelings. I just know that my Tea Party friends in Mass. say he kept it from being much worse (the original Democrat bill) and their tea party chapter is supporting him.

I went to the Mass. Healthcare site and its what they said. Most people get their insurance thru their jobs and the poor people get assistance. That's it.

If Newt had triumphed we wouldn't be having these happy discussions.

It wasn't until the disastrous Republican Congress of 2004 that I saw the light.

But, I am amazed that any conservative hasn't figured it out after the treacherous way the GOP, treated the Tea Party candidates in 2010.

Romney is not acceptable to many conservatives, if the only reason you can find to vote for him is that he is not Obama then that is sinply not good enough.

Accusing those who do not like Romney of being part of the Obama campaign (remember those trueblue gluesniffers?) is insidious.

I have said that 85% of freepers will probably end up voting for Romney. Why is that not good enough for you? Why do you insist that a socialist leftist get the suicidal imprimature of this conservative website?

You can vote how you like, none of us on this side are telling you how to vote, so why does your side feel that need?

Unfortunately Nana I’m not like you. I also don’t agree with Jim. Obama is the issue. If we have four more years of Obama, and control both the House and Senate (60 votes), we’re still in a position to lose this country. That’s my belief and I’m sorry it doesn’t coincide with yours.

Here’s what’s worse...Obama wins and we don’t have control of the Senate. No impeachement (being upheld) is possible and we’re four more years down a Greece path. We’re probably actually there or worse. I understand the fight I just don’t agree with it.

I actually fear for the survival of this website because of the position that Jim has taken and the Jim Jones type followers that have sucked up to him.

Guess I’ll get banned for this but so be it.
