Skip to comments.China condemns U.S. gun ownership as human rights violation
Posted on 05/29/2012 8:15:54 PM PDT by Nachum
A report issued by the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China has included U.S. gun ownership among a list of human rights violations, Law Enforcement Examiner Jim Kouri reported yesterday. "The Human Rights Record of the United States in 2011" was published last Friday on the PRCs Consulate General in New York website.
The United States prioritizes the right to keep and bear arms over the protection of citizens' lives and personal security and exercises lax firearm possession control, causing rampant gun ownership, the report claims. The U.S. people hold between 35 percent and 50 percent of the world' s civilian-owned guns, with every 100 people having 90 guns [and] 47 percent of American adults reported that they had a gun.
The conclusion that gun bans will result in enhanced protection of lives and personal security flies in the face of both the American and Chinese experience. Predictably, the report presents many of the same cherry-picked arguments used by leading U.S. and international gun control organizations that totally ignore the protective benefits of arms in private hands. And, as typical with advocates of a centralized monopoly of violence, Chinese-style genocide, which resulted in government-caused deaths of unknown tens of millions of defenseless human beings in the 20th Century, and the current brutal occupation and tyrannical suppression of Tibetan sovereignty, is left unacknowledged. Left unsaid is the inconvenient truth that rendering captive populations unable to resist makes such monstrous crimes against humanity not only possible, but inevitable.

Come and take it, MF’rs.
What, China lecturing US on human rights? Then we should lecture the Chinese on fiscal responsibilty!
Great Leap Forward
The Great Leap ended in catastrophe, resulting in tens of millions of excess deaths. Estimates of the death toll range from 18 million to 45 million, with estimates by demographic specialists ranging from 18 million to 32.5 million. Historian Frank Dikötter asserts that “coercion, terror, and systematic violence were the very foundation of the Great Leap Forward” and it “motivated one of the most deadly mass killings of human history.” In contrast, journals such as the Monthly Review have disputed the reliability of the figures commonly cited, the qualitative evidence of a “massive death toll”, and Mao’s complicity in those deaths which occurred.
The Great Leap was an economic failure. Uneducated farmers attempted to produce steel on a massive scale, partially relying on backyard furnaces to achieve the production targets set by local cadres. The steel produced was low quality and largely useless. The Great Leap reduced harvest sizes and led to a decline in the production of most goods except substandard pig iron and steel. Furthermore, local authorities frequently exaggerated production numbers, hiding and intensifying the problem for several years. In the meantime, chaos in the collectives, bad weather, and exports of food necessary to secure hard currency resulted in the Great Chinese Famine. Food was in desperate shortage, and production fell dramatically. The famine caused the deaths of millions of people, particularly in poorer inland regions.
Chapter 1, Introduction and Overview
By R.J. Rummel
” Since 1949 the Chinese communists killed from 5,999,000 to 102,671,000 people; a prudent estimate is 35,236,000. When added to the number they murdered in previous years, the communists likely killed 38,702,000 Chinese, Tibetans, and other minorities.”
Bok Hoo-shen O-bow-mu.
Ironic, given that a few of my guns come from China! Looks like I need to buy more ammo, just in case the Chinese are coming over for dinner.
I think the Yamamoto quote is bogus. True, but bogus.
“The problem with internet quotes is that so many of them are bogus.” ~~Abe Lincoln
Yeah, human right, murder right, and they must have kept a look at the Trayvon Martin affair, echoing and coordinating with Hillary Clinton the calls for US disarmament.
The Chinese DO consider THIS a human rights violation.
Hey China. Contact me when you stop censoring the internet, Hokay?
“So you can pull up the van and harvest my organs before im cold...”
They even do that before they shoot you.
Tens of millions died under Mao because they were unarmed, not once but twice!
And I didn't want to come off as a smart ass by saying how do people die more than once. I just couldn't register that there could be another meaning to it.
And is Obamas face ever red over this!
I like to think of the Second Ammendment as a Dictator’s Rights Violation.
And I didn’t want to come off as a smart ass by saying how do people die more than once. I just couldn’t register that there could be another meaning to it.
Yes, that is what I thought you meant, and I took the opportunity to substantiate the bloody history of Mao and his legacy. He was bad news twice over for the Chinese people.
Most important for westerners is that the moment that shedding blood is useful to the Communist Party, they will not hesitate to shed as much proletariat blood as is necessary for the Party to remain in control.
There are way too many in the west who are ignorant of this.
In any conflict between China and the US, one factor is the number of Chinese nationals in the US whose primary loyalty remains with China, and would support China, in a campaign of sabotage and terrorism.
This is much less likely to happen if doing so would result in a campaign of retaliatory attacks by the armed citizenry.
Interesting graph, shows a dropoff in gun-ownership claims roughly correlating with the 2008 election. I would imagine that’s due to gun owners lying to the survey takers ...
They prefer mass starvation and g’mint forced abortions. Like most good commies.

Kinda warms the heart to think that it bugs the sh*t outta the little b*stards, don’t it....
This works out to 270 million guns (privately-owned) in the US.
I remember seeing quotes of 250 million a decade ago.
ATF background checks have been running about 10 million per year since, so I'd guess the total US private gun ownership is closer to 350 million, or about 115-120 per 100 people.
Is this Bizarro World or what?

I suppose a land invasion of the USA by China will be put on hold : )
Stupid commie chinks. Come over and see what a free America does to you.
To PRCs Consulate General Wang Hung Low, Suk Mi Pork, Sum Dum Fuk, or whatever the hell his name is, I’ll say this:
“You wanna wock and woll, wet’s woll!!!”
“Say herro to my rittle friend...”
“We ruv you ROOOOOOONG time...”
You get the point....
“How do you say ‘up yours’ in Chinese?”
It’s pronounced, “Barack Obama.”
My US neighborhood is peaceful. And I have more than enough firepower to keep it that way. Chicom bleep holes need to keep that in mind————————Semper Fi.
Yeah, that's right, Wong. So why don't you just come on over here and take 'em away from us?
The Persians had an easy time knocking over the Greeks. Why don't you try us? We're weak, febrile, flaccid, and undisciplined. We have no skills and no will to live. We're easy meat. Come and get it.
Molwn labe !
Since Bill Ayers wanted to kill 25,000,000 Americans on a much smaller population base (there are no updates since 1971, so it's open to speculation how many Americans he and Obama want to kill now), can we conclude that Ayers is a far more virulent and extreme Communist than Mao was?
All I need to be reminded of is the theme and participants in Red Dawn, the re-make.
Mao => same evil spirit <= Ayers
“Rotsa Ruck” works well too...
RE the execution photo:
One wonders what threat to the State a ponytailed young girl could possibly be...
Oh...I forgot...she probably dared to think for herself.
Wonderful f***ing system those b*stards have, ain’t it?
You have to wonder how big, bad, tough, and brave those pieces of feces holding that little girl would be if it were armed Chinese citizens holding THEM in place with an AK or SKS pointed at the back of THEIR heads...
Human garbage...anyone who supports that ideology and helps to further it.

Similar situation to my case where seven years ago, I bought 2 50mpg Diesel cars when gas passed $2/gal.
Now, the economic moron, Zer0 suggests that I should get something more fuel efficient to deal w/ $4/gal petrol. Where's my 100 mpg car capable of hauling 1100 lbs and carrying 223 cm skis inside?
More likely due to a significant drop in canoemanship skillz.
Up the creek; no paddle.
You should see the “after” photos on the Free Tibet page where I found that photo. Nothing above the ears. The second goon is holding her as she twists and tries to be a hard target. Good for her. Her last moments were in resistance. God bless her. God d—n those statists who want to disarm peasants anywhere.
Phil Dragoo is really good at photo montage. I nominate reply 62.
Let me include you in on my last two replies, and double my anger.
Totalitarians do not like armed civilians.
Can the as*hole take Margaret Cho back with him?
Between this thread and the Margaret Cho thread, I’ve been laughing so hard I spit up!
“I mean, there aint even a Put A Flag Over her head and Do It For Your Country thought goin on...”
I’m telling you, if the choice was her or another dude, I’d REALLY have to think about it...unless there’s a window close by I could jump out of.
I can’t understand WHY any woman would think mutilating themselves with tats (and piercings) is attractive.
“Brrr...that aint even a 4am beauty queen...even the hardest-core sperm cells dont have Beer Goggles enough for THAT one...”
You ain’t kiddin’! WTF!?!
I’d be glad to assist in any way I can. Reminding me also: Murdergate comic. Will do right now.
Done. Shared to your facebook timeline. Caption: MURDERGATE . . .
