Erik Scott was a West Point graduate who went on to serve honorably in the Army, get his MBA from Duke and establish a lucrative career in real estate and as a sales rep for a medical device company. He was 38 years old when he was gunned down in 2010 in the portico of a Las Vegas area Costco store by officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. While it was 7 bullets from the only people we’re supposed to trust with guns that snuffed out Erik Scott’s life, what really killed him was an irrational fear of firearms – hoplophobia

Cops gun down man for legally carrying firearm

Finally a headline I can agree with.

Interesting info about the girlfriend obtaining drugs for him if true, but until I see "video" evidence of Erik acting erratically I do not believe the official version of this story. I believe, as others, it was a cop with an itchy trigger finger that killed Erik.

Erik Scott (((ping))).

>>“While we believe the Costco surveillance-video data — which captured the shooting — provides irrefutable evidence that Erik was wrongfully killed, the ‘missing’ segment of that video makes it difficult to overcome those qualified-immunity legal issues” [Erik’s father]<<

Well, it looks as if the video evidence has strangely gone missing and critical proportions of video turn up corrupted, and it’s most odd that some video ends up being completely erased. Strange that.

I've been an avid user of this site since ‘97 to my recollection. The “search” has never worked, and I've created several of the largest Web-data sites globally (which I'm now sorry I lent my expertise to...)

DEA agent claims he is "the only person in the room professional enough to handle" the Glock, then literally shoots himself in the foot, to the horror of the packed school classroom:

DEA Agent shoots himself in the foot

Funny. Scary.

No offense to law enforcement Freepers, but, this video exemplifies "public servants" today - preaching superiority while lacking actual, demostratable experience.

I remember this story. This is the guy who was all goofed up on prescription meds and painkillers and acting in a bizarre manner while wearing a handgun, right?
