The body of a missing convicted murderer was dragged out of a car by a bear that ate part of it and buried the rest, authorities in Canada said Saturday, according to reports.

Rory Nelson Wagner, 53, was out on parole from a murder sentence when he vanished from Kamloops, British Columbia, on May 23, CTV reported.

The black bear was later euthanized by conservation officers, CTV said late Saturday.

The bear ate some, and buried some. The man was already dead. How did the skin stay in condition to determine the bite mark pattern? How did they know his tooth pattern when the bear was shot? You are right. These were conservation officers without a hunting permit. I wonder if they enjoyed the loins? That lady is full of bearshit (as opposed to horse and bull.)

why is justice swift, only when this poor bear, who was hungry...

Because, unfortunately, this bear was not armed?

NOT fair to the bear. We should sentence the pervs to serve time in The Great Outdoors - with nothing. A few bear picnics should cut the crime rate way down. Like The Hunger Games. This bear deserved a metal, not a bullet.

Homolka, unfortunately, was as cunning a liar as she was evil. She conned the Canadian authorities into believing her story that she was terrorized by her husband (Paul Berarndo, IIRC) and was forced to participate in the killings. It wasn’t until the ink was dry on the plea agreement that the videotape was uncovered showing that Carla was not only an active participant in the crimes, she was if anything, more into the deed than hubby. By that time, there was no way to undo the deal, and she got out after a few years while hubby is doing life without parole.

Homolka is pure evil. IIFC her younger sister was one of her victims. And you are right; she conned authorities into believing her story. That, and the fact that they wanted to convict Bernardo so badly they just cut her a deal. At least that b**tard is where he belongs.

Funny how the article doesn’t say if the guy was dead before the bear pulled him out of the car. How in the heck would a bear be able to do that if he was alive?

That is a big reason I cringe every time I see that stupid Che Guevara image. Friggin idiots don’t realize he was a mass-murderer, tortured people, and committed atrocities/war crimes!!!!

He is celebrated...ugh...yeah, I agree, they should never see the light of day again...murder is forever, so should the punishment.

How do they know they got the right bear?

According to the article, the guy was convicted of murder after he killed someone who he thought sexually assaulted a member of his family.

The term “he thought” could either mean he was mistaken, or that for any number of conceivable reasons, the person he killed either could not or would not be prosecuted.

I don’t know anything other than what the article says, but I wonder why so many people are jumping on the “oh, it’s poetic justice” bandwagon when he may have gone to prison for killing his daughter’s rapist, for all we know.

My wife’s sister was murdered by her husband a few years before my wife and I met, and I’ve always wondered how my father in law kept himself from killing him. I’m not sure I could show that kind of restraint, if anyone ever hurt one of my kids. I pray I never have to find out.
