I agree. I greatly admire her, but I had even higher hopes for her this year. Prepare now to get flamed mercilessly.

Just a guess? Not meant as an insult, but I am pretty sure that you are not a MOM, it’s a whole different perspective!

I like Palin but am frustrated with her.
I like Plain but she lacks intellectual credentials.
I like Palin but she has less-than-Phi-Beta-Kappa mind, it’s ok because she is folksy.
I like Paling but she has to much adulation.
I like Plain but she is not very sophisticated.
Are you sure you like her?

Comparing Palin and her challenges with Walker and Wisconsin are not really apples to apples. Walker has been fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but he is being attacked politically and on policy. Palin was being personally and legally attacked. As Alaska government is set up, they were simply going for frivolous suit and frivolous suit, and she was stuck footing the bill.

I can still second guess her decision making and would have at least liked to see her finish her term and just not run for reelection, but she did what she did because it clearly seemed to be the right decision at the time. Palin has more than proven her mettle in terms of being able to take heavy fire and standing her ground. Both she and Walker are excellent leaders for our movement in the years to come.

When I reflect upon all that Sarah Palin experienced--the length, intensity, evilness of the attacks upon her as well as the final nail (which were the costly lawsuits and some jerks off moving next door observing her family--I know you are sadly comparing apples and oranges. Sarah is also a human being with a family. Long term stress and abusive, evil attacks such as she experienced are not what Scott Walker experienced and Sarah made the decisions she made as not only a politician, but a woman of God.

I don't know her mind, but I do know she most likely prayed about this and gave it thoughtful consideration and decided to do what was best. She doesn't see herself as God. Only those that worship her. I admire Sarah very much and would have loved to see her stay on as Governor or run for president, but she is also a leader and leaders make decisions that they believe are right no matter how unpopular.

God bless Sarah Palin she has smoked out the devil just by being her awesome self. She is an outstanding human being. Maybe God told her she needed to take a break. She certainly deserves it as does her family.

Gov. Palin DID NOT abdicate any governorship.

AND she is far smarter than the backstabber Romney
who threw Election 2008 to Obama.

Take your falsehoods back to your Master, Mr.RomneyCARE.

Despite all of the negative chatter about Mrs. Palin that takes place (a lot of it on this website) I think she got a belly full of negative politics, thought twice about it, then decided she had all of it she ever wanted to see again.

For many reasons, I don't think we will ever see her leave her home state of Alaska - for anything - that is, for other than a quick trip for an appearance.

She and her husband love the place, and I can understand why. It is nothing like the 'lower 48' - and most of the people who live there are nothing like the rabid folks in too many of the '48.'

She has made a small fortune since leaving the governorship, her husband is tied to a life in Alaska as much, or maybe more so than she is. And, she continues to pull in big bucks sitting where she really wants to be.

I like that for her, and her family.

I personally think the Wisconsin fight was a far more important fight and Scott Walker had a far more solid base of support. That said, they are going to continue trying to eliminate Walker.

As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, she made the decision she felt she had to make. We all have to do the same.

You must be kidding. The character assassination that she has been subjected to is unprecedented.

Sending reporters to Alaska to investigate if she pretended to give birth to her daughter's child. Leaked stories about unauthorized use of campaign funds to cloth her family. Traitors in the McCain campaign who were responsible for a poorly run campaign blaming her for the loss. Unending frivolous lawsuits in Alaska they were draining her personal finances. A media avalanche blaming her in part for the shooting of Gaby Giffords and beating her down when she dared to defend herself. And most recently an HBO movie which insinuated she was mentally ill.

The fact that she is still standing and has the courage to put herself out in public to voice her opinion amazes me.

Palin was attacked with numerous personal lawsuits. Walker hasn’t had that challenge - yet.

The difference between Walker and Palin is that Walker’s family wasn’t insulted and demonized.

Did Palin also have 40 million from the GOP to do battle with the National and State Dems?

Too bad.

She could have cleared her name, fought her legal battles, and bought air time.

But, she was already beaten and bloodied, she is a woman w/kids, she was a rookie, she was far away, and she had bad blood with her State GOP.

So the Republican Party hung her out to dry. And even ran against her in 2010.
