In Case You Don't Like Romney... A Challenge To Every FReeper

In Case You Don't Like Romney...

Columnist Andrew McCarthy gives us what probably is the most important question regarding the upcoming presidential election …

“If Romney wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who may have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind:

1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78

2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year

3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August

4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago and has had cancer twice.

Whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.

If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you’re smokin’ something funky….”

So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win ... just imagine this possibility:

'SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER'

Did that get your attention!

These people are not conservative.

Come on, some of them surely must be seriously conservative.

America? You jest. You are voting for an America where Gsy marriage is legal, illegals are welcomed and a list of other Romney home runs.

That’s the America you want? You are welcome to it. I’ll vote for the one the founders created.

And it’s up to our congressmen to ensure we get it. Not ignore the tyranny of the King.

Yes and notice how they squirm like libs caught with a blue dress trying to redefine what conservatism is.

Gotta ease that aching conscience I guess...

It’s very simple. Romney or Obama will be elected:

I’m voting for the lesser of two evils.... to try to help prevent the greater of two evils.

There doesn’t appear to be much talk about pushing Romney to the right anymore either.

So do it. Just stop lying to yourself that you aren’t throwing away everything you ‘claim’ to believe in to do it. If that bothers you so terribly, you might want to ask yourself why.

That depends on one's definition of conservative.

altura, for example, said she would support gay marriage. That, in my mind, is not conservative.

She, and others, also support mitt romney, the man who argued that he was more liberal than Ted Kennedy; the man who said he would "fight for a woman's right to choose".

As I said, it depends on one's definition of conservative. But mostly, using the conventional definition, they are liberals.

They KNOW he’s going hard left after the election and still voting for him. Tells you what kind of people they are doesn’t it? I really wish they’d drop the drama and just admit what they are.

Come out of the lib closet as it were. I mean, right wingers don’t vote for libs do they? So they can’t be that...

It was all I could do to choke back my bile and vote for McCain. I never dreamed the GOP would be dumb enough to double down.

True. And I never dreamed so many would support them for doing it.

I should have added a sarcasm tag, as I was referencing how Romney has become seriously conservative.

Then you know that whomever you vote for who doesn’t have an R or D beside their name will be in the list of losers.

Look, I don’t like where we are at. I wish we had a good candidate who was viable but we don’t. If it is the half black Zero versus the white Zero, one of them will win. If you add a conservative or moderate 3rd party to the list, the odds swing towards Zero. I’ll take my chances with the devil that I don’t know rather than the one that I do.

In 08 I said that RINOs are lying manipulative bottom feeding scum who would happily throw a race to say “We told you so” only to run someone even worse next time.

McCain lost and they’ve spent the last 4 years blaming Sarah Palin and us filthy conservatives.

No worries. I knew it was sarcasm. My post was not for your consumption only. There are some here who actually believe they can support a pro-gay, pro-abortion liberal and still be conservative. As if.

If you add a conservative or moderate 3rd party to the list, the odds swing towards Zero.

And you have 100% certainty as to what that would entail, right? There are a lot more possibilities than what you have been fed by the GOP-E. I won't repeat them here because they have been posted ad nauseam on FreeRepublic.

And the point of my post was to advise you that you are going to be presented with the same type of situation 4, 8, 12, and 16 years from now. As long as you let the GOPE manipulate your vote, it will.

Fear not! For when the GOP runs the team of Jessie Jackson and Ed Schultz, they will all be there with bells on because the dems will have ‘someone worse’.
