Bunch of morons in Hollywood. What earthly connection is there between Bush and the Game of Thrones? I don’t watch TV, but I read the original three fantasy books, before the author flaked out, and they are based on the medieval British Wars of the Roses between York and Lancaster.

Seriously? A little dig, or amusing Easter egg, depending upon your side of the aisle.
If you're disgusted, understandable, but, seriously, it's HBO, the home of Bill Maher. This is really nothing to organize a boycott over.

After the constant barrage of criticism from the midget Bill Maher, I cancelled by HBO subscription. Now that the Game of Thrones adds too the HBO bias against conservatives my decision is confirmed correct. In the process, I also saved $30/mo. on my cable bill. Consider dropping HBO.

Based on the blurry profile of the head I’d say it’s a stretch at best to make the comparison.

Obviously, I can see somebody doing this as an insider joke. But, from what I’ve read of television production, producing a weekly show is a very harried process, with not a lot of time to think about anything else but getting the show done. I can also see some producer, just grabbing some head and gluing a wig and liking it, because he’s only got five minutes to get it done.

I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt in this case.

I’ve never understood why Americans revere their senior politicians so much. The concept of lese majesty has no place in a free country in the 21st century...

As if I needed another reason to never subscribe or support that degenerate network.

I regretably ran into HBO last week in a motel when I was traveling, and briefly caught a glimpse of that deviant Bill Maher’s disgusting face. Really made me ill. How I’d love to catch that bastard in an alley with a pipe-wrench in my hand.

If I read this correctly they used a prop head that either resembled or was directly a representation of GWB for the head of Ned Stark? If so, maybe by sheer and unintentional coincidence, they used Bush's likeness for one of the few characters in the books (there are five so far) who was a moral and scrupulously ethical hero. Ned Stark's trust in the truth and his attempt to reveal it, knowing what the cost could be, is what got him killed (that and an evil little adolescent monster and false king named Joffrey - who gets his later on).

The a**hats at HBO may have had a chuckle when they did this but they in fact by accident matched Bush up with the one character in the book I would probably best identify him with. A fine man, far better than his peers and successor, but too damned trusting for his own good.

Maybe it’s supposed to be Will Ferrel’s head on a stake.

.... As per the props department .... Yes they intentionally and knowingly put the head of GWB on the stake. This is nothing more than a prank that is done on almost every movie and TV show by the prop and camera department.

Generally used as an inside joke by the departments, They love to place things in a non-descript manner on the set such as pictures of crew members, politicians, etc on wanted posters etc etc blah blah blah. This stuff happens all of the time and is not that unusual.

If the liberals hated the Bush years, they are going to hate the next 4 even more.

The authors of this fine show admitted they used the former President’s head, they are the ones who bought attention to this.It is not a form of political expression,if they’d kept quiet but since they told......there is bound to be some meaning behind this.
