Thanks to our president, this nation's immigration policy just became more fair and more just.
Effective immediately, the Department of Homeland Security is taking steps to ensure that young, undocumented immigrants who were brought here as children by their parents, and who have followed the law since then, will be able to request temporary relief from deportation proceedings -- and will be allowed to apply for authorization to work in this country.
They're a group that we've come to call the "Dreamers" -- and today, the country they love is telling them they should be able to dream as big as they want.
For years, the President has called on Congress to make common-sense fixes to our broken immigration system. They haven't. So he did.
I am so proud to stand with President Obama on this decision. Watch what he had to say today -- then join me by getting his back.
The hundreds of thousands of people who this policy might help are people who call the United States of America home. They study in our schools, play in our parks, and pledge allegiance to our flag. Some of them have served in our Armed Forces. They've started businesses; they've started families. They are Americans in every way but on paper.
Congress still has time to pass the DREAM Act. And if they do, policies like today's will no longer be necessary.
We are not giving up on this issue.

Foreign nationals have always been able to be naturalized after completing their first term of service, in my limited understanding.

All the illegal alien protest marches were about staying in the USA . . . illegally.
None of those protest marchers were asking for citizenship.
They consider themselves to be Mexican.

Thanks to our president, this nation's immigration policy just became more unfair and more unjust. Our immigration policies are unfair to everyone playing by the rules, and preferential to Mexicans, Central, and South Americans.
What is fair about this? It's not fair to U. S. Citizens. It's not fair to Australians, Europeans, Asians, Africans, or anyone else.
It is an immigration policy that favors Hispanics over everyone else. That is racist, and consummately unfair.

The role of the President, according to Article II, Sec. 3, is to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." Obama's refusal to execute Congress's immigration laws (or, for that matter, Congress's Defense of Marriage Act) is an impeachable offense. Article II, Sec. 4 states that the President "shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for... Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors." The deliberate failure to enforce valid immigration law and allow hordes of foreigners to live and work in the U.S. is, arguably, "treason," and doing so in an election year to appease Hispanic voters could certainly be considered "bribery."Article 1, Sec. 8 of the Constitution, which enumerates the power of Congress, states that "Congress shall have the Power To... establish an [sic] uniform Rule of Naturalization." Congress has passed numerous laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization, including laws requiring the deportation of illegals.
So why not impeach the treasonous, amoral, incompetent Idiot?
Ok, so a POTUS who took an oath on the bible that he would faithfully uphold the laws, decides that maybe none of us should uphold the laws either, especially if they are reduced to writing on nothing but paper!!!
This is a high crime and far beyond minor misdemeanors. It scoffs at all the laws and the democratic process that gave birth to them!!!
Then let’s lock them up, because they are law-breakers.

You cannot pick and choose which parts of the US Constitution are important and which parts are not. The man should have been impeached long ago. Why now???
