California bar: Illegal immigrant should get law license
MSNBC ^ | 6/19/2012 | Miranda Leitsinger

An illegal immigrant applying for a law license in California should be allowed to receive it, the State Bar of California argues in a filing to the state Supreme Court.

Sergio Garcia, 35, of Chico, Calif., has met the rules for admission, including passing the bar exam and the moral character review, and his lack of legal status in the United States should not automatically disqualify him, the Committee of Bar Examiners said Monday.

“ … Mr. Garcia’s status in the United States, should not, ipso facto, be grounds for excluding him from law licensure. He has met all of the prescribed qualifications and there is no reason to believe he cannot take the oath and faithfully uphold his duties as an attorney,” the bar said.

Sure, why not. Let them run for public office out there, too. That way, all will be in place when the formal cessation of California is complete.

The words ‘illegal’ and ‘law’ don’t really go together, do they?

Let 5 million of them take the bread and butter of truck drivers and carpenters and we’ll hear NOTHING. But let them practice law, and my friends I tell you we will hear a shrill howl you will never forget —the border UAV’s will blot out the sun.

I hope as many of them become broadcast professionals as possible.

And movie studio executives.

Let’s see how they carry their tune THEN.

Geez...you mean you Kalifornians actually allow criminals to be lawyers? Is there not one question something like “have you ever broken the law” on their damned applications?

Hell, no wonder you guys will be speaking Mexican in 5 years...well, deserved guys.

This is absolutely stupid. We cannot even get our own American lawyers to agree to uphold the Constitution, let alone the kenyon born imposter.

What’s next? Do we allow islamist fascists to practice law and try to impose shariah law (excuse spelling) cause they are qualified to stand in front of some court somewhere in the world.

How stupid can some people be?

Never mind. Some people voted for the obamanation.

Blessings, Bobo

Not that I like the “illegal” part, but I’d betcha the illegal has far, far, far more legal knowledge than both the Cretin-in-Chief, and “My People” Holder. At least the illegal had to actually have good grades to get into law school.

We all know how Holder and the Cretin got in.

If you are found to be working illegally in Mexico, you are taken to prison. You serve at least six months, and are 'registered out of the country.' If you return, you are sentenced to at least one year hard labor. If you are found working again, your sentence is 3 years hard labor. You are also required to reimburse the government of Mexico for the cost of deporting you.

“An illegal immigrant applying for a law license in California should be allowed to receive it, the State Bar of California argues in a filing to the state Supreme Court.”

I am sure our crooked U.S. lawyers will be thrilled about the competition from outside crooked lawyers.

Good!!!

However, if he is in this country illegally he is, ipso facto a criminal who is excluded from admission to the bar.

From the California Bar Act:

The State Bar of California shall require that an applicant for admission or reinstatement to the practice of law in California, or may require a member pursuant to subdivision (k) or (l) of Section 6068, be fingerprinted in order to establish the identity of the applicant and in order to determine whether the applicant or member has a record of criminal conviction in this state or in other states. The information obtained as a result of the fingerprinting of an applicant or member shall be limited to the official use of the State Bar in establishing the identity of the applicant and in determining the character and fitness of the applicant for admission or reinstatement, and in discovering prior and subsequent criminal arrests of an applicant, member, or applicant for reinstatement.

My first thought, exactly. I’m a lawyer, tho inactive now and in another field. To become a practicing attorney, you have to pass the bar and take an oath. The oath means something. How the frig can it mean anything if you aren’t a citizen?

How the hell do lawyers/members of the bar admissions in CA think this is right?
