Just announced on Rush. On the heels of today's SCOTUS decision regarding Arizona's border protection law, Napalitano (Obama) has just notified Arizona that the federal government/ICE/DHS has been ordered not to cooperate with AZ regarding the reporting of illegals stopped in AZ.

Care to point out anything Romney has actually done beyond campaign rhetoric that wasn't left wing drivel like in MA?

You ABO folks are the delusional ones. If most of you would stop voting for your favorite personality and help us pick a conservative (though none really ran this time) we'd quit splitting the conservative vote.

Then you could drop the pretension that a McCain or a Romney would be better. Frankly, I'd like so see what “better” is if Romney is dittos on “immigration reform” ala O and W Bush. Or how much better off we'll be with a “kinder gentler nation” of “compassionate conservatives”.

Keep walking down the middle of the road and sooner or later you'll get run over.

What can I say, it is a pig and the pig is ugly.

Things will become ever more outrageous until they are smacked down or the dictatorship becomes complete and we are in camps. I am believing it will come to that. Crazy isn’t it?

It was Arizona that gave this ditz her political career. Hope they see how important their votes can be and how destructive they can be in the future.

Even that will not change things. It is too little. We were shocked and marched in 2009. It didn’t do a bit of good. We were ridiculed and dismissed by the MSM. Our message is silenced by them every time. We have no outlet to the masses. It was like a non-event. Like it never happened.

Just that one event satiated our collective anger and shock it seems or took all the wind out of our sails. We are not willing or able to engage in the relentless battle that must be waged. We are invisible and unheard. We do not realize that we are really at war already and we are losing because we are not fighting.

I’m not kidding either.

I would go further and say everyone who thinks the US can be fixed by elections is delusional.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. The fundamental issue seems to be there is nothing Arizona (or other states) can do to protect their residents and property. A state cannot rely on the federal government since it may not enforce its own laws, and a state cannot enforce its own laws if the federal government doesn’t like them. Sounds like they’re in a Catch-22 situation, at least until the next election when Obama gets tossed out.

Don't forget 2010 and today. They fear us. Why else does the TEA Party live rent free in the minds of the Left and is still disparaged at every opportunity?

I keep thinking SC tested the water today. I wonder what they expected? I would not count on anything clear from the SC on oblabla care. I would count on it being just as outrageous as this one today.

I’ll tell you he won’t reinstate the mandate by EO because he won’t have to. The SC ruling will be so ambiguous as to allow him to interpret the law his way again. Congress will do what they have always done so far... NOTHING.

Bet on it and I’d be thrilled to have to pay up to you but I doubt very seriously that I will.

Everyone on the right is trying to play by the rules and avoid a conflict or a scene or a crisis. They know that the right thing to do is unprecedented, dramatic and could destroy the nation in many ways. Insurrection, riot, civil war, attack while we are weak or in disarray.

This may be like having a 2 year old in a nice restaurant throwing a screaming wall-eyed fit with everybody looking at you and the only thing you can do is remove the 2 year old... but you can’t go. I’m really not sure what it is like though. We’ve never seen a president this insolent, lawless and out of control. It could only be thus if he hated the nation and just does not care what happens so long as he gets his way and his power. He is a despot and a traitor and an insurrectionist. He is tearing the guts out of the United States and enjoying it.

I believe Roberts is having to compromise massively to preserve even a shred of dignity in the SC. He is fighting a losing battle. The three witches and their warlock, Kennedy have revolted and will outrageously embarrass the court now if they get a chance. Roberts is probably just trying to figure out how to keep from having an event that would cause a crisis that would shake the republic to the ground.

There is no telling what will happen from here. I expect the worst but don’t know what form it will take.

“I would go further and say everyone who thinks the US can be fixed by elections is delusional.”

Needs to be repeated. What we had was precarious to begin with. We will not fix this mess by voting. Unfortunately, we’ll play along because it’s easier to believe that we have some control.

I will not believe they fear us until I am standing over them kicking their teeth down their throats. Metaphorically of course.

Until then, color me doubtful.

Do you also find it strange that these folks, even after what's happened today with the DHS, still have MORE contempt Romney than Obama? WTF!

Yes, I find it strange... outrageous is more like it!

These “Romney is the same as Obama” folks are coming completely unglued. I would expect to see these types of ideas pushed over at DU, but not here.

I totally agree with you. Actually there are a LOT of FReepers who argee with you (and me). You'd be surprised... ;-)

There will be life after November.

It is hoped that there will be a FreeRepublic after November, but who can say?

It would be helpful if the delusional anti-Romney crowd would show a bit of respect towards those who disagree with them.

Romney was not the first choice of most of us, but Romney with a GOP Congress is the best we can hope for now.

Except for the rare (and mostly Mormon) oddball, virtually nobody wanted Mitt Romney and most execrated his guts.

It is a sad juncture when Romney’s waffling, meaning he might do something conservative from time to time as the mood strikes, is the chief reason he outclasses the incumbent. But it doubtless does and that’s the blunt fact, Jack. Mitt’s moving rightward, at least in rhetoric, while Obama continues to sit on his rocket aimed leftward.

How can a better situation be set up for the future is the most crucial question.

Did you know that Mexico has laws protecting the demographics of their country when it comes to immigration? their laws make our feeble attempts at deportation look like schoolyard antics.
Mexico's laws on illegals:

Contrary to popular belief, Mexico has very strict immigration laws which are enforced by every police agency in the country. The Bureau of Immigration can call upon any law enforcement officer to assist in their mission. Citizens from the United States traveling in Mexico without proper documents, work permits or non immigrant visas are subject to arrest as illegal aliens.

The laws regarding foreign national visitors, immigrants, non-citizens are as clear and concise in Mexico as are our own U.S. laws which are considered unenforceable by many politicians in Washington, D.C.

* Reglamento de la Ley General de Poblacion (General Law on Population) in Spanish dated Abril 14 de 2000 Capitulo Quinto —Migracion Seccion 1

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.”

Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents.

Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.”

The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.”

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants.

A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity.

A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number.

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be Imprisoned. Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned.

Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different is subject to fine and imprisonment.

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as Felons. Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished.

Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.

Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison . Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population States…

“A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.”

Skirt the deportation crap by taking the captured illegals to a really remote area of the border, dropping them off without mres and water, compasses and or directions. Track them by air. If they move back inland America, pick them up after 100 miles and put them back along the border. Repeat as necessary. and drop them from 10,000 feet.
