I am not very learned in the area of border patrol matters, so I need some people’s input.

I was talking with hubby about this, and he said that it made sense since Article I of the Constituion has the authority to establish rules for naturalization, commerce, etc, so the SCOTUS ruing follows the constitution well. He also said that the problem stems from the fact that the FedGov is NOT doing their part—the FedGov is still traitorous but the SCOTUS ruling is not a violation of states’s rights.

This is our current understanding of the situation, but I’m curious to see what older and wiser people than we think, as well.

His speech is already written.

“I do not agree with the supreme court. I will move forward with implementation and enforcement of the law” (and the wimpy republicans and the SCOTUS can try and stop me)

“Looks like “Homeland” “Security” isn’t at all interested in securing the homeland.

Some might call that disloyal. Some might call it oathbreaking. Some might even say it hints of treason.”

____

I completely agree.

NOT a violation of state’s rights??? As of this ruling, there ARE none! Read Antonin Scalia’s dissent.

To do so would be to violate the Constitution on its most fundamental levels...that’s the kind of thing that could start the shooting. You don’t really think he’ll enforce the law in spite of the SC, do you?

Then again Sebelius did say they have a contingency plan...

What is that plan? CW2?

In a nutshell, the SCOTUS just confirmed what we all believed: The federal government will enforce only those federal laws it wishes to enforce, regardless of the impact on the states.
It will sue states, like Arizona, trying to address the problem that Washington DC ignores, if the state tries to help itself.
The federal government is a creation of the states and it is out of control.

Your husband is correct. The states are held hostage to a lawless regime and it would seem there is nothing we can do about it. A very UNcivil war is already being waged against us. Americans are under seige from our own government which seems to have correctly calculated that they can get away with it...because they HAVE.

Obama is helping us take the country back. For years washington has been given a blank check, but now people are waking up to that being a terrible idea. Arizona is fighting and so are other states and if the states choose to disobey the feds, there isn’t a thing washington can do about it. The people no longer believe in washington, like past generations. I like the rebellion that is brewing. The states have the power, now take it back. Cut off the money flow to washington. Exciting times indeed.

Other states should ban together and help Arizona take their illegals off the streets. Build prisons, send in law enforcement like when a storm hits and states help one another. The only power washington has, is given to it by the states. Let freedom ring from sea to shining sea. If we want a true change, it is time to take it and not wait around for it to be given.

And the other crap he has done has not violated the Constitution on its most fundamental levels?

Yes. I think it IS in him to do it.
NO I don’t think it’s in Bonehead to stop him.
The jury is still out on the American people stopping him. I think there is enough of us willing. I doubt it’s more than 20-25% of us though.

If a single person is killed by someone reported by the Arizona authorities to the Feds who ignored the request to investigate, then whoever in Homeland Security who came up with this ruling should be thrown in an Arizona jail and tried as an accomplice to murder.

Yeah or if the government sells guns to Mexican criminals in order to later deny us our rights to own guns, then a federal law enforcement agent is killed with one of those guns, then that too should land someone in jail. Oh, wait, never mind. I'm sure Eric Holder will hotfoot it on down to Jan the Man's office to slap the cuffs on her. When the cops are the criminals they sure ain't gonna prosecute themselves. The corruption goes to the very top and they're just laughing and thumbing their noses.

This is one time I am wanting anyone hurt/killed/raped
by an illegal to SUE —HHS ? —whoever they can, if possible.

This unbelievable SOB and his cult are not protecting the American citizens as the LAW says. States have to do it themselves.

Pray this will be the end of the dick-tater-ship running our country.
He has got to go without violence. That will come from the commie leftist.

Keep cool! Patience!

This is to say, “Rat senators are sucking up to me so tightly, they could be mistaken for leeches. And forget about impeachment.”

Maybe, like a mad mass axe murderer, his intent is to get wilder and wilder and wilder until stopped.

All he needs to say is “I will see that the laws are enforced” and he’s in.

Excellent idea. Hope they do it. Can you imagine a half dozen busloads unloading in downtown San Diego? Think it would garner attention?

Much better place would be Marthas Vineyard, Mass. Let's see then how welcoming the Liberal Elitist really are LOL. Oh and we can't leave Kentybushport, Maine out ether LOL. On The Strip in Las Vegas would also bring some protest :>}

Drudge headline, “Big Sis to Arizona: Drop Dead.” I think that nicely encapsulates it.

Good to see the Drudge headline & photo, but I was looking for something more...like this:

“Gangsta Obama to SCOTUS: Drop Dead.”

If the thugocracy responds to today's decision with this, what will Thursday's SCOTUS decision evoke?

I hate to say it, but he seems as adept at campaigning as you-know-who was in ‘08. Rhymes with McPain.

Looks like "Homeland" "Security" isn't at all interested in securing the homeland.

Homeland Security was a "JOBS FOR FRIEND"S politically created department for the Bush Family. It was a horrible idea {though none including many Freepers would listen} when it was created and it's an even more horrible idea now as anyone can clearly see.
