Team Romney: No, we’re not declaring ‘cease-fire’ on Obamacare
Washington Examiner ^

Posted on 07/03/2012 12:09:58 PM PDT by Perdogg

In the days since the Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, some Democrats and commentators in the press have suggested that Mitt Romney is declaring a “cease-fire” on the issue and will no longer make it a centerpiece of his campaign to defeat President Obama.

Then why are you voting for a man you disagree strongly with Lake?

Yes WE fought the PDS wars together and it was fun. But now you use their diversion, their flat out lies and the rest. I mean seriously lake, you tried saying the GOP didn’t rig this for Romney when any fool saw the articles where they denied backing to the “ABR” candidates. There were a few threads here and there on FR on that very thing.

Those two things don’t square pal’o mine.

So show me the links to the posts where I supposedly ‘ducked your question. And then list the links for the posts giving them context...if any. And could it be that as with this thread, I wouldn’t answer intentionally until you addressed mine? Most likely - if at all.

You are wasting your time.

First, RomneyBOTs do not answer but DEMAND and EVADE.

Second, they will NEVER admit they support
death panels, lying, backstabbing, covering up fraud,
incompetent governing, inappropriate executive authority,
romneycare/obamacare, TARP, .....

But they do.

Oh I know he and the rest will never admit their mistake. But There are a lot of people reading these threads who see them twisting like Chubby Checker on Bandstand. Those are the people that matter.

And the fan club does not want a rational argument for voting conservative made or allowed to be seen. So they attack those of us making them, never once realizing they slit their own throats doing it.

And besides, I enjoy arguing with people who can’t possibly win ;)

See tagline: Because the alternative is unthinkable.

You don't leave the most vile, divisive, Marxist, pro-death, anti-American, pro-muzzie, anti-free enterprise administration in office just to satisfy some urge to be "pure". HKCjr. won't allow this country to exist in four years, and yes, his record shows that.

Of course the GOPE wanted Romney, I even said that, your reading comprehension is going south sir. I did say that wasn't the main reason he won. You can go back and see why I said he won, that might be helpful if you actually read it, I said it in two different posts, and it's true, just go back and read it and think instead of emoting.

Enjoy the Fourth, I am headed to the lake I happen to be the shark of.......:-).......and then to go to a huge community picnic (hey, you can say I'm a communist now....heh) with awesome fireworks and some adult beverages.

Keep on working for Bambi Norm, I'm certain he'll turn for the better after you reelect him........smart plan......

:-)

Not worth reposting your drivel. People can read it for themselves a few posts back.

Keem stomping them footsies Lake. Do it in a rhythmic pattern and call it a dance ;)

Well, here it is the Fourth of July of 2012. We have perhaps the biggest election in our lives coming up in 100 days. We have probably 90 days to convince enough people to vote NO on Obama.

I don’t think we’re going to convince anyone here who doesn’t see the terrible threat we do.

My advice: Give up here, and apply yourself in the real world! You’ll make a much larger difference there. The primaries are over. Find your local Republican committee, join up; man phones; go door-to-door; put out signs; talk to people about how hard their taxes are going to go up under ObamaTAX.

Good idea. Join Rogue Yam. He apparently just spazed out and sent a nastygram to JR via True Blue Liberty. There’s a Quix opus post on the front page now.

Go somewhere where people WANT to be bathed in the healing waters of liberalism. And spread the word.

This place can be just for us nutcases that bitterly cling to our principles. Our refuge from your kind. ;)

Inexplicably? The man was out of money and had no chance. That's not so inexplicable.

That's not how I remember it. Santorum's campaign was on fire, and he was running neck and neck with Romney when he suddenly dropped out of the race.

But not before he'd sucked enough votes away from Newt to guarantee his campaign's demise.

He could have held on. He was getting the votes, and could have even passed Romney, had he stayed in it. That was never the plan, though. I'm convinced that the decrepit GOPe manipulated the whole process from start to finish, including doing everything in their power to discourage Palin from running.

Hey can you set Norm straight and remind him that I actually didn't believe that Palin was for sure going to run.

My memory ain't that sharp, Lake. I just remember that we were all staunch Palin supporters on FR. Perhaps you never voiced firm conviction that she'd run. I just don't recall. Sorry.

OK, ha ha!

I do see the folly in trying to debate Romney with fellow FReepers. No one is going to change the other person’s mind.

Can we agree that Obama has to go? That the democrats lose in every election they face come November? If so, and I do think that you want that, I’m happy.

“Romney does have a more conservative agenda than Bush had in 2000.”
“Romney is now more conservative than Bush?”
On fiscal, budget, tax and spend matters, yes he is. He is also more conservative / restrictionist on immigration. ON social issues, Romney’s a total squish but he’s walking the prolife line, likes Scalia on the courts and is at least a decent family man himself.

But Romney doesnt walk with a Texas swagger and some people who confuse that for conservatism think less of Romney for it. Whatever.

“Bush was conservative? “
In ways yes, in some ways no.

What’s odd is how people who wouldnt bat an eye about voting for Bush are bent out of shape over the more conservative and smarter version aka Romney. That’s what you get with Romney, a smarter not-as-big-a-spender version of the squishy-semi-conservative-Bush brand for right of center politics.

After the Obama error, it will be a breath of fresh air.

“How can a conservative vote for Romney without abandoning his conservative beliefs?”

WF Buckley answered your question decades ago.
His rule - Vote for the most conservative viable candidate. Viable options (potential winners) are: Romney, Obama.

Thus, the correct conservative choice is Romney. This does the least harm / most good for conservatives.

You continue to advocate conservative principles before during and after the election, disagreeing with the President whenever he does a non-conservative thing, whether its Obama or Romney.

That’s how.
