Citizen video tapes TSA setting up checkpoint at Chicago's Union Station.

"As I entered Chicago's Union Station back on July 5th, I noticed 3 Fully Uniform TSA Agents sitting inside the office of Amtrak Police. I took out my cell phone and started to follow these TSA agents, and it appeared to me that they were setting up a Check Point for Amtrak Riders. This is just another example of how TSA expanding their operations and entering Train Stations, Bus terminals, and major sporting and concert events. Will Americans allow TSA to bring their intrusive Pat Downs on the road or finally take a stand and say NO!!"

Wait, what?

I thought that if only we didn’t fly, we could choke of the TSA’s reason for being.

Silly me.

My daughter in law got a parking ticket at the arriving flights passenger pickup area without even coming to a complete stop. I avoid Chicago at all costs. I consider it a just plain evil place.

How common is train hijacking? How often do terrorists drive trains into buildings?

A stupid movie that had Leonardo DiCaprio in it.
One scene has a train off the tracks in the middle of downtown.

The chief of Amtrak police who previously threw TSA agents out of Amtrak stations just retired. The new chief apparently has a different mindset about these government-paid thugs.

The train scene.
Note, no tracks.
TSA must have watched this stupid movie.

Yep, they started doing this a couple of years ago. They call them VIPR teams.

TSA rail, subway spot-checks raise privacy issues

I despise TSA.

They don't ride Amtrak, they take the subway/El system.

In that case, we need them everywhere, don't we?

Schools, shopping centers, gas stations, the entrance of every subdivision?

We must live in absolute safety if it kills us.

Bringing TSA into train stations does nothing to make the stations, the trains or their riders safer.

Heck, a would be bomber with his big bomb suitcase would simply get on the Bankers train from Chicago to NYC in Kokomo Indiana or some such. They can't have these TSA guys everywhere, and if they did, I think I'd rather take my chances than live in a surveillance society.

Were you weeping with emotion when you wrote that? Because if you weren't, then I'm just not seeing the empathy from you that we collectively need to get this job done at the end of the day.

Don’t forget street corners and crossroads, your bedrooms, your living roms, your kitchend, supermarkets. But, as you can tell from the responses, the slavation of the sheep is almost complete.

Aw shucks . . . facts bother you also? It’s ok to hate the TSA, just don’t be so gd stupid about it. Train lines and stations are targets of Al-Q. Fact.

Fact, AQ is not the target of choice for the TSA.
Nor is the TSA actually concerned with security.
If they were, they’d use the Israeli model to secure an airport.
