We each must vote our conscience. I will not vote for a known abortionist/homosexualist statist for the presidency. Look it up.

I do not want to see a second Obama term.
I do not want to see a first Romney term.
Our nation is too important for either.
That said, I see no reason to lie about
what confronts us.
Obama is our enemy. Romney is out enemy.
Accepting this is the only peace we’ll
get this election year.
I and many others tried to explain what
nominating Mitt Romney would mean to
Conservatism. People didn’t listen to us.
Here we are. Enjoy.
If you don’t like this, contact folks in
early primary states and explain to them
how unhappy you are.
Hopefully in 2016, we can nominate a person
that agrees with us. If not we’ll do this
all over again.
One call that is worth making, is a call
to the RNC to let them know that you are
leaving the party.
Open primaries and elected Republicans have
made it impossible for Conservatives to get
any support.
Personally, I’m done with them.
When 0.05% of the voting public is registered
as a Republican, perhaps the RNC will be more
willing to listen to Conservatives.
I somehow doubt it though.

At least in 2008 we didn't have folks here on FR actively campaigning against the GOP nominee and doing so using unreasonable, dishonest, and abusive means. That was certainly better.

Really? You have the nerve to say that, given your treatment of FReepers and your membership at an anti-FR site?

I wanted to make it clear, I was not directing that at you Roamer_1.
It was meant as a general statement to those who can’t grasp why we won’t support Romney.

Now you are trying to bluff your way out of the hole you dug yourself into. Hardly. A poster already showed one of your attacks, and you denied it was such.
I could go back through your spam and find where you called posters Obama supporters for disagreeing with you about Romney, but why bother when you deny the clear meaning of your own words? You're just a stupid tar baby poster who is best told to KMAR.

Really?
He made homo marriage legal in Massachussets, he’s for banning guns, he’s for individual mandates, higher taxes, sees nothing wrong with bigger government.
His record is that of a solid liberal.
What part of that is so hard to understand?
He is a carbon copy of Zero.
They are ideologically the same.
A choice between two evils is still evil.

Let’s not forget his solid record of appointing extreme left liberal judges in Massachussetts.

I don't agree with everything this blogger says but he really nails it with the Star Wars analogy of the conservative slide into darkness.
For my money, the best thing about the six-episode Star Wars epic is the slow but certain descent to the Dark Side of the Force that happens to the Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader character. Its my favorite part of the whole series, because in contrast to the rest of the monstrous shbang, that one sub-plot seems well-conceived, thoughtfully written, and passably well-acted. Watching young Anakin rise and mature and then begin his inevitable spiral around the drain over the course of the last three movies (parts 1-3) is like watching a horrible car wreck in super-slow motion.
What I particularly like about it is that they didnt merely have him freak out and become homicidal for no good reason. At the very core of Skywalkers dreadful transformation was, surprisingly, love. A manic love, granted. He loved the princess with an incredible intensity and then his love drove him to greatly fear losing her. And fear did him in.
My friends, I suggest that is a decent parable for what has happened to conservatism in the United States. Manic love courted fear of loss, and that fear found ways to justify going over to the dark side.
Are Conservatives Slipping To The Dark Side?

Your posts are rife with name-calling against those you disagree with on this subject. Are you truly so self-deluded that you cannot comprehend the very nature of your own posts?
