The Muslim terrorist group Qa’adat el-Jihad claimed responsibility Saturday for a terrorist bombing in Burgas, Bulgaria. The bombing in Bulgaria last week killed five Israelis, one a pregnant woman.
The Lebanese paper El-Nashra reported that the group, which has ties to Al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility in an email to the Arab press.

The Ministry of Interior said it was appealing to society for cooperation in locating the suspects.
The first Hezbollah operative identified by Bulgarian authorities is Meliad Farah (a.k.a. Hussein Hussein), an Australian national. Farah, who has been previously described as a “bombmaker of Lebanese descent,” was born on Nov. 5, 1980.
The second operative identified by Bulgarian authorities is Hassan El Hajj Hassan, a Canadian national. Hassan was born on March 22, 1988. Hassan is reportedly related to the unnamed terrorist who died in the attack. Hassan was born in Lebanon, but moved to Canada at the age of eight. According to Canadian authorities, the suspect has not been a “habitual resident” of Canada since he was 12.
Between their arrival in Bulgaria on June 28 and the day of the attack in Burgas on July 18, both men were “spotted in the regions of Ruse, Varna, Nesebar, the “Sunny beach” resort and the village of Ravda,” the Ministry of Interior said in a statement. The ministry further said that the men “registered themselves at hotels and accommodations, using fake identities under the name of Brian Jeremiah Jameson, Jacque Felipe Martin and Ralph William Rico. They are also believed to have rented cars using the mentioned fake identities.”
Press reports had previously revealed that all of the driver’s licenses were forged by the same printer in Beirut, which is tied to a Hezbollah operative. The printer is reportedly also known to have produced forged documents for other Hezbollah members.”

One Facebook account possibly attributable to Farah states that the user studied at the Lebanese International University (LIU) and lives in Australia. According to press reports, the printer utilized to create the forged licenses carried by the Hezbollah cell responsible for the Burgas terror attack was based at LIU, where the suspects are said to have studied engineering.
The user of this account, who has ‘liked’ an array of celebrities and athletes, including Usher and David Beckham, appears to have used online chat services, such as Tohla and Omegle, among others. The user of the account was also involved in online poker via Facebook.”

Two Suspects Wanted for Questioning in Connection with July 2012 Attack in Burgas, Bulgaria

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking information on two suspects, Hassan El Hajj Hassan and Meliad Farah, who are wanted for questioning in connection with a bus bombing that occurred on July 18, 2012, in Burgas, Bulgaria. The FBI is assisting the Republic of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior in its investigation of this bombing.
The bus bombing occurred outside the Sarafovo Airport in Burgas, killing seven, including the bomber, and injuring 32 individuals. A Michigan driver’s license bearing the name Jacque Felipe Martin was found at the scene of the bombing and is thought to be associated with the bomber who carried out this attack. In the days following the bombing, another Michigan driver’s license and United States Social Security card, both bearing the name Ralph William Rico, were located.
A subsequent investigation determined that this driver’s license and Social Security card were used by Hajj Hassan. Farah reportedly used a Michigan driver’s license bearing the name Brian Jeremiah Jameson; however, a driver’s license bearing that name was not located.
Between June 28, 2012, and July 18, 2012, Hajj Hassan and Farah were reportedly in the regions of Ruse, Varna, Nesebar, the “Sunny Beach” resort area and the village of Ravda, all of which are near Burgas, Bulgaria. It is believed both Hajj Hassan and Farah checked into hotels using their false identification. Farah also may have used the identification bearing the name Brian Jameson to rent a car in Varna, Bulgaria, in July 2012.
The United States identification used by the suspects was fraudulent; however, the FBI is investigating the creation and procurement of the driver’s licenses and Social Security card.
Hassan El Hajj Hassan has dual Lebanese and Canadian citizenship. Hajj Hassan is of Middle Eastern descent and speaks Arabic and English.
Meliad Farah has used an alias of Hussein Hussein and has dual Lebanese and Australian citizenship. Farah is of Middle Eastern descent and speaks Arabic and English.

He was the one who remotely detonated the bomb in the backpack of the suicide bomber on July 18, 2012.The explosive contained three kilograms of TNT (trotyl) equivalent. The backpack also contained two small gas cylinders.
Hasan spent around a week at a hotel in Bulgaria’s Black Sea resort of Nesebar. He was alone during the stay and claimed he was a tourist.
He wore different caps all the time. Two of them, with emblems of US baseball teams, were found at his hotel room in Nesebar by the police.”
