In the well-armed, hill country precincts where I reside everything would proceed pretty much the same as always, only with justice a bit more swift, and with considerably less expense for lawyers, judges, prolonged trials and comfortable prison stays.
Big-mouth nanny-boy Bloomberg wouldn’t be welcome here.
If he didn’t mean it “literally”, what did he mean? They should “go on strike, figuratively” - show up for work and get paid, but refuse to do anything?

Whenever public indignation, public laughter, or getting caught in a lie forces a liberal politician to retract something, you let them gracefully “clarify” instead.
Please stop trying to change the plain meaning of words for the benefit of liberal politicians.
