Lloyd Marcus, the Chairman of leading conservative group Campaign to Defeat Obama PAC released the following statement today in response to an ABC news report that former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized Sarah Palin’s qualifications to serve in the White House:
“To suggest that Sarah Palin does not possess the necessary qualifications to serve in the White House is ridiculous on its face. Ever since she was selected in 2008 by the Republican party’s nominee for president, then ratified by the GOP membership at the Republican Party convention, she has proven time and time again to be an extremely capable, inspiring and visionary leader.
“Palin has proven her mettle in the years since 2008. She has become one of the most prominent and vocal leaders of the tea party movement, and her campaign efforts have single-handedly influenced the outcome of countless senatorial, congressional and gubernatorial elections because the American people believe in her leadership skills and trust her judgment. They know that she knows a great leader when she sees one because she herself is a great leader.
“Contrast that with the disastrous record Barack Obama has compiled since 2008. Obama has failed the people of this nation and brought harm to our economy, national defense and the American spirit.
Campaign to Defeat Obama Vice Chair Andrea Shea King concluded:
“Sarah Palin will never be the safe choice of the GOP establishment blue bloods.
"In bucking the ‘good old boys’ throughout her entire career and proving that she could rack up accomplishments and make big differences -- as both an executive in office and a citizen activist and Tea Party leader -- she has proven she is more valuable than the whole lot of them.
"Sarah Palin’s record and leadership abilities speak for themselves and anybody would do better to emulate them than to marginalize themselves by taking swipes at her.”
“ The Left and their allies in the media will always try to personally malign conservatives for their own political purposes, but it is our responsibility to not only prevent ourselves from being sucked into these tricks and giving credence to these baseless attacks, but also to proactively fight back. This proud American conservative will not stand for these despicable sneering smears against Sarah Palin, and no conservative should.”

Use Mitt as a negative kitchen cabinet advisor. Anything he is for she should probably be against.

The GOP-e is preparing to dump Mitt.
Romney has been running hard for four years to become president. He has had both staff and surrogates attack his opponent viciously. He has used the tactics of back stabbing and paid mouthpieces. He might stand a chance of winning if he would use those tactics against Obama instead of Palin.

That’s the first scenario I’ve seen described that actually has a chance of occurring although a slim chance.
Unfortunately, it requires Ann Romney fall ill, so I can’t even pray it would occur.

A point well taken tet. Might I add that Palin’s level of experience exceeds that of Obama by orders of magnitude. In real positions of responsibility.
As I understand it there are no qualificational requirements for President except recieving the requisite number of votes in the Electorial College.
Should Romney not win on that first ballot, I'd recommend all in America to hit the streets for Palin.

You will find those requierements in Article I, Section I of the US constitution,
Make that Section II, Article I.
As you said Article II contains “eligibility requirements” of age, residency, NBC birth/citizenship.
You won’t find any list of qualifications (accomplishments) in Article II.....job experience, schooling, degrees, wealth, ect.
As I said, other than gaining the largest vote totals over your opponet(s), there are no other qualifications for the office of the President.
The qualification of an individual to hold that office is strictly in the eye of the individual voter.
Barack Obama, in spite of his not meeting Article II eligibility requirements, and possessing no other qualifications other than the largest vote total, has sat in the oval office for nearly 4 years now.
To question Sarah Palin’s “qualifications” to be president in light of BO total lack of outside accomplishment is ludicrus.
All Sarah needs is to be on the ballot and receive the necessary votes....just like Barack. Her outside accomplishments so far outshine Barack’s, and some other presidents for that matter, in every other area that a direct comparison is a one sided affair.
“Death threats against her, her children, her extended family. There are more than enough Bill Ayers types on the left to carry out such threats.”

All it requires is for Ann Romney to SAY she has fallen ill — and then miraculously rally back to health after the convention. We can pray for that.
