Overwhelming Support for Chick-fil-A
FreeRepublic ^ | 08/01/2012 | Oshkalaboomboom

Posted on 08/01/2012 8:23:23 AM PDT by Oshkalaboomboom

Today is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, an event semi-organized by Mike Huckabee in response to the Gay Mafia's attempt to browbeat a private citizen into silence, all because he stood up for something he believed in. Mumbles Menino and Rahmbo can kiss moral America's collective butt if the response in other Chick-fil-A restaurants is even remotely similar to what I saw just a few minutes ago at our local one. The place is being overwhelmed!! I told the manager why we were here and, after thanking us, he said that there was no way he could have prepared for such a massive influx of customers. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they ran out of food today.

LOVE IT thank you/

I heard but this might be B/S that the CFA up in Nashua NH was full of the queers and CFA was giving them free food.

it’s off my elderly MIL who usualy hears it wrong but saying that she does watch the Boston media up there so nothing would surprise me with how they report something.

On Friday the CFA should have workers appreciation day, say you lot worked so hard on Wednesday and they did alright and wiht a smile and manners.
Only have the drive through open and give most of the workers a paid day off.

Only tell the workers when they come in Friday so the media and their promotion gets all pised off again.

Our local media is mentioning this kiss butt day and saying a lot of poeple were there today due to controversial comments being made.
CONTROVERSIAL, WTH how is normal traditional marriage or the first amendment controversial.

Hope youre doing well

I'm going to try to go to CFA now. Wish me luck! Hopefully there will still be some food left to order!
But just in case, I did some early Christmas shopping on their web site. They have lots of cute gifts to choose from. I particularly like this Groovy Beach Towel . It can double as a fine banner of CFA support, and as a bonus, the rainbow tie-dye just might make a few Lib heads explode, LOL!

Yes, because every back tatted, pierced person wearing jeans and a flannel isn’t “good people”, right? That’s the kind of attitude that makes the rest of us decent Christians look so bad... UGH...

Here's that story. Click the title for the entire story --it's very interesting and goes on into the constitutional issues:

Chick-Fil-A Restaurant Sponsoring Gay Pride Festival
Amidst the dispute over the Chick-fil-A fast food chain’s support for traditional marriage, a New Hampshire Chick-fil-A restaurant is lending its support to the state’s gay pride event.

In a development revealed by The Daily Caller,  the state’s only Chick-fil-A store located in Nashua is sponsoring the August 11 New Hampshire Pride Fest, a celebration of gay rights...

mmmmmm, interesting I have a question then.

Today a Wendy’s owner put a sign saying he stands with CFA but HQ told him to take it down after yet more baby tantrums from the homostapo so couldn’t the top man at CFA put a stop to this or even close the franchise down?

That’s right. The restaurant was packed and they were running out of menu items.

Thanks for the report, DarthVader. Longtime no see -- since one of the GoE's. Hope you are well. Greetings to darthyorktown, if I remember correctly.

Well, Wendy's is a separate chain owned by the Triarc Corp since 2008, after the death of the founder Dave Thomas, so I imagine that their board preferred not to get involved in this issue. The individual stores may be operated by franchise owners, but the people at the top still have a lot of say in how their brand is presented to the public.

So, Chick-Fil-A's leaders have nothing to say about how Wendy's franchises operate their stores.

OK thank you for the answer.

Off topic but wondering what you thought about Huckabee and his view.

I heard Huckabee say he knows Amzon Apple give to the queers but he biys their product not their poltics, well I won’t buy either as buying their product is giving them money for their politics.

I’d like not going to happen though people like Hannity and talk radio to publish on the TV and radio the companies which give to the queer agenda and inform the public who they are and lets see places like homo depot still be a proud sponsor.

What’s so ridiculous about a statement like that is the fact that Chick-fil-A serves ALL customers, too. That was never a part of the whole which is why you have non-Christians supporting Chick-fil-A for their First Amendment rights, as well as Christians showing personal alliance with Cathy and his family. It’s a much bigger issue than just being for or against gay marriage, but don’t expect the media to actually report that...

The “We Stand With Chick-fil-A” signs posted were the work of franchises in North Carolina, 80+ locations, all owned by Jim Furman. I do not know if these were in fact taken down at the behest of corporate or not.

I went around 4pm for after nap snacks. Still long lines at the drive through but not quite like at lunch time. I decided to park and walk in with the 2YO. Saw plenty of teens in there. Perhaps they tend to go in the afternoons and evenings?

Its the 30somethings that I didn’t see many of, but perhaps that’s due to the times I was in there. 7am and 4pm... I couldn’t even park and walk in around 1pm. It was too hot and crazy to drag a 2yo who was hungry and needed his nap.

Passed by again around 5:30pm and the lines are longer and more people in the drive through...

It’s really not important that the main stream media cover this. They are irrelevant. The voice that tells the story and sends the message comes from the people who are there and I dare say that anyone who lives near a CFA probably drove by it today. From talking to some people today, it is clear that this event has not gone unnoticed.

All these reports are getting me stoked to drive the 300 miles to Boise to buy a sandwich.

Eh,.. maybe not.

You should go! It’ll soothe your soul and lift your spirits! Worth the drive if you ask me!

I am heart broken here in Honolulu...being unable to be part of this great day. We don’t have any Chick Fil A here so I will do my part in a couple of month when I head to San Diego.

In the meantime...continue to do great work and support those who represent our great American values!!!

Hmmm, I generally try to avoid supporting any business that harms traditional society; but there are times when it is almost unavoidable. Having used Apple since its first days under Steve Jobs, I don't want to give up now because of a temporary change in leadership. That's an extreme case of only one company producing this type of product. But as for fast food and consumer wares, it's easier to support CFA but abandon Target and Procter & Gamble, for instance, because there are so many other vendors of their product lines.

I sort of agree with Huckabee; but I really do try to stay informed and shop as "surgically" as possible. It wouldn't do Hannity much good to publish a list; but if you keep reading FR, you will find out most of the information you need. Just my opinion.

This is an especially delicious idea because the DNC wants to make gay marriage a plank of their platform for 2012! American citizens are not allowed to openly display our voting position at the polling place -- no lapel pins, stickers, t-shirts, etc with our candidates' names -- but who can make a case that a Chick-Fil-A t-shirt violates those rules?

Let's have this go viral.....no charge for the idea....and I don't work for Chick-fil-a....lol
