“Romney will announce his choice for Vice President in Norfolk, Virginia at 8:45am EST,” Romney campaign spokesman Lenny Alcivar told reporters in an email this evening.
The announcement is being made at the USS Wisconsin. It’s still unclear whom he will choose, but the odds that it is Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., seemed to increase when National Review’s Robert Costa noted that a charter plane flew from Boston to Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wis., today.

He has no business executive, state or local government experience. He's not a veteran.
He knows the budget inside and out but that's it. Foreign policy? Who knows. Defense? Who knows.
Obama couldn't ask for a better running mate in terms of avenues of attack because he's run against the Ryan budget for the past two years. Ryan was depicted as pushing grandma over a cliff in her wheelchair. On that level it's a gift.
It looks like Ryan was picked because there was personal chemistry with him and Mitt. Ryan might help Romney appeal to certain demographics based on his bio. His father died when he was 16 and so perhaps can talk about welfare and struggle.
I like Ryan, I can see the advantage of running with someone there's chemistry with, but he does not naturally fit the bill of someone ready to take on the job of President.
His best attribute? He's not a lawyer. Unfortunately, his wife is. She's a tax attorney.

Mitt’s predecessor in MA, Gov Paul Celucci (R-ino) - he was the one who nominated a woman from South Africa to be Chief Justice of the SJC in MA. Hers was the deciding vote (4-3) to legalize gay marriage in MA.
The only thing that would make it better would be to announce on the eve of the ‘Rat convention and complete the deflation of their balloon.
I rather a true tea party republican. I’m not telling you not to vote for R-R vs O-B. I’m just saying he had better choices. Palin, Rubio, Martinez, outsiders....

Call me what you want, but I don't think my opinion is much different than our site's founder. Romney is a RINO. He does not deserve our support.

If the Soros Administration gets another 4 years, it is the end of the USA. And I am not being melodramatic. The Socialists and Marxists must be stopped.
But I guess I am not telling you anything you do not already know. The problem is getting the message to millions of Americans who just do not understand how much the Marxists hate a strong and proud America and want to see her bowed and bloodied.
We need to pray daily for our country. And all of us can only hope that God will give us another chance with a new administration that will actually do the right thing.
