Police say an armed robber got more than he bargained for Friday night when he targeted the wrong victim.
Just after 10 p.m. a 36-year-old man was confronted by a robber with a shotgun in the parking lot of the Walgreens located in the 3600 block of College. The man said the robber held the shotgun to his head and demanded money.
The man, a concealed handgun license holder, was able to get his handgun and fired one shot at the would-be robber. The robber dropped his shotgun and took off running fleeing south behind the store. The intended victim was not injured during this confrontation and he did not lose any property.

I sometimes have a real love/hate relationship with my fellow SE Texans. I may not agree with a bunch of them politically (I hate that so many are Democrats though that’s changing), but I so love the overall spirit of the place!
The robber appears to have brought the all-conquering shotgun and even got the drop on the guy. It still didn’t go the way he thought it would.
Texas, where men are men, even in democratic strongholds (except Austin and parts of Dallas).

Other than a few people still infected by the union bug, it’s basically IMPOSSIBLE to find a white liberal in Texas (with the exception of gays). We’re simply beyond that that now.

“Police and a K-9 unit searched the area with the help of neighborhood witnesses, the release states. A man that matched the robber’s description was found in his underwear near Estelle Street and Glenwood Avenue, the release states.
“A second K-9 unit found the store’s stolen money and the gun used in the robbery.
“Bryan Keith August, 22, of Beaumont, is in Jefferson County Jail on an aggravated robbery charge. His bond has been set at $50,000.”

Contrary to the first sentence of the article, I think the robber targeted the perfect “victim” - an armed one who would shoot him. If every robber targeted victims like that, the world would soon become a better place.
Never fired, dropped once. Minor scratches and blood stain on the butt.
And blacks are coming around though much more slowly from my conversations. A lot of disgust with he last four years and many blacks don't even know about other black conservatives.

Sorry about that...It sure would be great if IL split in half (or really more like 80/20. The 20% of the North can keep Chicago, Rockford, and other places, while the sane half can cancel them out, at least in the Senate.
