For the love of God! Who the heck is in charge of deciding the details of these debates? Can someone please tell me how this all gets decided so we know where to bring the rope?

Romney let himself get bated by the moderators in the candidate debates-making him snark back and forth with santorum instead of talking about anything important - I hope he doesn’t do it again but chances are he will

Better question, why go to a debate moderated by the lamestream media? Why are they allowed to be the self-declared arbiters of the political scene?
I would not go unless the moderators came from both sides of think tanks or something or the questions were generated by computer selection from a battery submitted by voters and given by Billy Graham.

The guy I always wanted to see host one of these debates was (the late) Louis Rukeyser. That guy was awesome!

This won’t be a debate. Hussein will have all the questions ahead of time in order to prepare relatively intelligible responses. Romney will look lik a deer in the headlights by comparison.

Who agreed to these clowns? Can’t the debates be moderated by some political commentators who actually get viewers/ratings? Then it would be all Fox News commentators which I wouldn’t complain about other than they tend to be tough on both sides which is the way it should be. Bring in Rush Limbaugh, Mancow, Ann Coulter, Bill Bennett, Greta Van Susteran.

No argument from me on that! Romney was my third from last, ahead of only Paul and Huntsman for many reasons. OTOH I sure wish he would accept the help he needs from people big enough (and skilled enough) to help him in spite of how he treated them.
