When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over

When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over

August 13, 2012
By Jim Karger

“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat, credible or otherwise, that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood [in] the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

This is not a question they are comfortable with, if only because the intent of their saber-rattling was to imply they would fight to keep their weapons, and win.

Nice fantasy. It’s not happening.

If the federal government decides to disarm the public, and when the increasingly-militarized rolls down your street after a not-so-subtle request that you kindly turn over your firearms and ammunition “for the common good,” it will be nothing less than suicide by cop to do anything other than what you are told.

The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public.

And, it is not just your hometown cops who are getting new boy-toys. The military itself is buying up weaponry not just for use in the current or next scheduled war, but to deal with the likes of you, citizens who don’t seem to understand that the Bill of Rights has been overruled, and that specifically includes, but is not limited to, the right to protest and engage in civil disobedience.

Also ignored (as if it didn’t even exist) is the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 which generally bars the military from law enforcement activities within the United States.

According to Public Intelligence:

“…for the last two years, the President’s Budget Submissions for the Department of Defense have included purchases of a significant amount of combat equipment, including armored vehicles, helicopters and even artillery, under an obscure section of the FY2008 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the purposes of ‘homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and providing military support to civil authorities.’ Items purchased under the section include combat vehicles, tanks, helicopters, artillery, mortar systems, missiles, small arms and communications equipment. Justifications for the budget items indicate that many of the purchases are part of routine resupply and maintenance, yet in each case the procurement is cited as being ‘necessary for use by the active and reserve components of the Armed Forces for homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and providing military support to civil authorities’ under section 1815 of the FY 2008 NDAA.”

And, they are not just arming cops and weekend warriors for domestic purposes. Active duty Marines are now being trained for law enforcement operations all over the world (of which the US remains a part) specifically to deal with civil uprisings, and the US government knows that civil uprisings are coming to a town near you just as soon as the fantasy of a healing economy is shattered, the US dollar fails, and unemployment goes to 30%+ in real numbers.

And, to you tough-talking Neo-Cons with your AR-15 rifles and a few thousand rounds of ammo, here is the reality: they will take your guns, and no, all your Second Amendment bluster aside, you are not going to do anything about it. You are not going to take on a platoon of Marines with state-of-the-art automatic weapons and the best body armor you cannot buy protected by armed personnel carriers and attack helicopters unless you choose to die that day — for nothing. You will either be in the country or out, and if you are in, you will stay in and you will comply.

That is your choice… for the moment.

“...the tripwire signaling the onset of intolerable abuses....”

Basically, it signals that they are willing to KILL as many American Citizens as they need to to accomplish their goals.

That thought alone should be intolerable to anyone who calls themselves American.

That thought alone should have blood boiling all over the country, and set peoples’ hearts to stone against anyone advocating it.

You might even call them Killers Without Conscience.

...I am a little surprised at the tendency of persons such as our author to ignore a body of experience that we have gathered at such expense.

You know full well this piece was written not as an honest assessment, but as a psy-op tactic to corrode resistance and excuse passivity.

Those bully boys are going to have to eat at a dining hall sometime. Some folks have excellent cooking skills, a love of freedom, and a basic knowledge of chemistry.

If you are eating dinner with the jack-booted thugs, you might want to skip the peach cobbler.

Or was it the scrambled eggs?

Firearms are just one tool for preserving freedom.

“How much organizing was done to bring “throngs” of people to ‘Chick-fil-A’s’ in just a couple of days? Not much, and that was over ‘Freedom of Speech’, not life or death.”

That is an excellent example of indirect communications. The people got the word out via email, Internet, phone, fax, person to person, etc. Without the Internet there is no doubt a slowing of communications, but driving across the country only takes 2 days at most and flying it less than one.

The left assumes we are disorganized and would be unable to communicate in order to cooperate if they could just cut off our means of communications. They are wrong. We already are like minded in the idea of liberty and freedom and know what moral grounds we stand on. It is they that have to continually communicate to propagandize, recruit, and train their followers. We may not know what to do about everything right this second but we’ll have that figured out once the time comes.

Was it over when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor?

Bluto's right. Psychotic... but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part!

Then shouldn't she be telling us how she knows we haven't already started?

Probably. Assuming they aren't just doing their own version of a disinformation campaign.

Some people I've met online do some of this without even being aware of what they are doing, so keep in mind that not everyone is part of some over-arching conspiracy. Some people are just 'tards... ;-)

I see that concern as one whereby any civil unrest must be quelled quickly and order restored as soon as possible. If the sheep are that pliable then they’ll love their new found freedoms and support it and cooperate with it. Any effort tyrants make to retake control would then be met with unanimous resistance by truly freedom loving people.

Most people are apathetic because they just don’t see a solution. Give them one and see if that changes their minds.

The conversation would go something like this.

Nope...no guns here.

I sold them.

All my ammo too.

Some guy.... a friend of a friend of a friend. Had never met him before, or since. No, I don’t know his name or anything else about him. No reason to... he had cash.

Let me see that warrant. Seems in order, and you can search to your hearts content....

I told you, I sold them all and the ammo too.

See, as I said.

1) It occurred to me a while back that if they demanded my guns I’d have to give them up and firing on them would just make me dead like the guy in College Station.

2) On the other hand, there was an essay that went around here not too long ago detailing what one man with one gun could do, and it was impressive.

3) If the shtf, we need to have rally points set up so we’ll know where to meet up. It’s the fact that we’re isolated that makes this all so scary.

4) Nevertheless, I think if we needed a million people on capitol hill blocking all business, we could do it.

Nasty, nasty agitprop of the most inflammatory kind.

Insults the courage and intelligence of Americans, both civilian and military, as well as what America stands for and the choice millions have made to die for its principles.

All by a contemptuous, spitting piece of sh*t who looks into his own lack of principle and crap morality and projects his own self-loathing onto everyone else.

Which means:

1) He's a neocon lawyer;

2) So he's splitting his bet and playing both sides of the issue:

2.1) First on enraging people into voting conservative;

2.2) But in a way that will satisfy liberals who enjoy his insults against conservatives;

3) And thereby enable him to use this screed to try to get laid by a liberal female.

And if the fedgov pushes that hard, they had better expect rule 308 in return.

I never presume ANYONE is running a conspiracy campaign. I simply assume anyone resistant to critical analysis of their pet theory is simply vain, and their attempts to gloss over serious flaws are really attempts to "save face."

No one likes to admit they got "suckered."

This policy has the benefit of being effective on both the provocateur AND the moron.

“fedgov pushes that hard”

I suspect it won’t be sold or presented as a “hard push”. They’ll propagandize it for all its worth: “Sniper Rifles”, “Domestic Terrorists”, “Militia”, “Anti-Government Outcasts”, “TEA Partiers”, “Bitter Clingers”, “Christians!”, “Anti-Government Forces”, ...

oh, wait, those are the current terms they are using.

They’ll turn up the volume of propaganda and turn down the volume on their efforts. They don’t even need to ban all guns, just the ones we need to be effective: Black, evil, assault weapons. Not duck hunting guns, just assault weapons. 1994 was an attempt at that and they got pretty far. If they actually had any more thought they’d gone all the way to success and permanently banned assault rifles. We were only lucky they didn’t.

I like to bat around liberals like a cat batting around a fluffy toy. People need to see them for what they are. I am tired of them getting the last word and that word sticking.
