Since Obama says that the Government shares responsible for every business success, will must also say that the Government shares responsibility for McGovern's business failure. And if so, does the Government owe McGovern money for causing his business to fail?

I don’t think McGovern’s business experience impacted his political thinking at all. He remains an unregenerate anti-Nixon liberal who refuses to acknowledge that Nixon himself was liberal.

Better yet, invite Joe Biden to speak. The contrast with the other speakers will change a lot of minds.

Yet I will bet McGovern still votes for Emperor Zero.

You can be a liberal Democrat, oppose those policies you disagree with, and STILL be a patriot.

Problem is that today’s Democrats, at least many of them, are not.

I believe George McGovern, though wrong on most issues,
WAS and still is a patriot.

It would be better to run clips of Reagan.

Some years back, McGovern wrote an article ripping the TSA goons who inflict themselves on every airline passenger in America. I was impressed.

Like Biden, he may be on the path to senility. I hope they read the speech before he gives it.

Even the old McGovern would have been more conservative than the likely 2012 Republican nominee.

I’m serious.

"What you don't understand is that I didn't want us to win that war." George McGovern.

1995. CNN Crossfire.

“Yet I will be McGovern still votes for Emperor Zero.”

Just like the hard-core race voters, die-hard Progressives, and the hyphenated Americans who fled totalitarianism somewhere in the world who are now furthering it here in the States.

IMHO

Of course you are. You are blinded by prejudice. The man may not be conservative but he is not as you have grossly misrepresented.

One wonders...... lie or hyperbole?

Unfortunately, we know you're serious.

It's why you'll only get fools (the stupidest ones at that) to vote for you........

First, McGovern lives half time in a house in my community in St. Augustine, FL. He remains an ever faithful far left Democrat and is very open about it.

Second point. Do not forget that during the Viet Nam war, while Henry Cabot Lodge was negotiating with the North in Paris, McGovern sneaked over there and was secretly meeting with the North’s representatives. The North took this to be the most confirming sign that they should not sign a peace accord and, instead, fight on because Washington was very divided and Ameriecans were more and more demonstrating ion the streets. As Lodge readied to deliver an announcement of the progress of the talks, McGovern while still in Paris called a press meeting and said there was no significant progress in these talks and that the North had further convinced him that the U.S. should simply pull out quickly and that the North Viet Nam had promised him that they had no intention of invading and taking over South Viet Nam.
There is a lot of blood on McGovern’s hands.
