AMEN to that!
While I know Romney won't win NY, my vote for him does help increase the count towards the total number of votes nationwide. That number and percentage has taken on greater importance in recent elections. For instance, in 2000, Bush lost a lot of vote in the Florida panhandle because the networks mistakenly called FL too early, discouraging Bush voters waiting in line. Although Bush did win FL, his margin was reduced by the number of lost voters, giving reason to taint his victory for the Dems.
Fine. Vote for the liberal. It’s your franchise.
What a foolish attitude. Those who've been paying attention know that on 11/6 there will be 51 Presidential elections and using simple math in analyzing the results of these 51 elections will determine the ultimate winner.New York is a lost cause for Romney,in terms of Electoral votes. He can certainly raise funds there and volunteers from that state can still help Romney win the Presidency.
I live in Massachusetts which is also a lost cause for Romney. However,I live pretty close to a state that is very much a battleground state...not at all a lost cause for Romney. So my vote will mean literally nothing...at least for the Presidency. But given that this is gonna be a close one,EV-wise,my labors in New Hampshire may well help elect a President.
The candidate for whom Ziva will vote will surely receive at least some EVs...and very possibly the majority.Unless I'm mistaken *your* candidate will receive precisely *none*.I've participated in 10 Presidential elections so far and every single candidate for whom I've voted has received at least *some* EVs.I'm not about to break that record just because Romney wasn't my first choice.
Looks to me like you think this is some sort of game.
Who cares about your “record”?
I offer a way for “conservatives” whose votes are now being squandered to have their votes count for conservatism.
And you scorn that opportunity. You’re all in for your liberal, even when those votes don’t do a single thing to prevent what you say you want to prevent.
It’s telling.
And what would your advice be for "conservatives" in tossup states like VA...NV...FL...CO...NH....OH???
Lemme guess "vote Virgil Goode, send that Commie Romney and his pals a message".And then, after Osama Obama carries those states, and the election, with 48% of the vote it will you and your pals who'll be tripling your stockpile of ammunition and food tins with a 20 year shelf life.
So, under what scenario do you see someone other than Obama or Romney being our next President?
With so many “conservatives” supporting what they say they hate? Not much.
Nothing’s going to change until conservatives stop doing that.
It's simple math.
-- Samuel Adams "It does not take a majority to prevail
but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."
I'm under no illusion that Romney is a Reagan Conservative, but what's the alternative? Obama, without having to worry about re-election and with the MSM covering for him, will push his agenda through with executive orders. He has already shown he will do this, and if he wins then the GOP is unlikely to have enough votes to stop him.
IMHO, the best we can hope for is to elect Romney to stop Obama, and a Conservative Congress to keep Romney focused on the economy.
I wish you were right, but I don't see that happening when it comes time to vote. All of the lefties with their varied agendas will unite to get the One re-elected, and then compete for the favors after he wins.
I guess you missed the Romney Republicans in Congress voting last week to fund Obamacare.
Unfortunately, we're stuck with this until one side or the other wins. Our next President will be either Romney or Obama, and the party of the winner will probably also take control of Congress. Take your pick, but I don't intend to make it easier for Obama to win.
That’s called a false choice.
Thank you. I was looking for the link for phone banking for Romney recently. I will use this.
Thanks for showing the third-party candidate that he is doing more damage to this country with his “candidacy” than anything else. If I didn’t know him for nearly ten years, I would have thought him to be an Obama troll. Too bad we couldn’t get a Nader campaign going. :)
Great words of encouragement and good information....I will pass this along.
