The U.S. and Mexico aren't scheming to invade Canada, according to U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.
On Wednesday, she thrice denied that a closed-door meeting between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Mexico's foreign minister was to plot a takeover of Canada.
"This isn't some secret thing to invade Canada or something like that?" a reporter asked Nuland during a press briefing about why a signing ceremony between the two countries wasn't open to the press.
"No, no, no," Nuland replied. "It's not anything classified."
That's a relief.

We can send some Floridians to run Quebec (we deal w Haitian Creole all the time....the languages are similar)....but does Canada have enough bullets to keep Detroit in line?

Unfortunately that won't happen when they have 8 million of Canada's 33 million population. That translates into a lot of votes.
Personally, I only tolerate them because they invented Poutine. Well, and that the FLQ haven't murdered anyone I know of since the hostage crisis in Quebec in Oct. 1970. That's when they murdered Pierre LaPorte, a deputy leader and labour minister in the Quebec Gov. Body found in a trunk.
