Tied in Rasmussen 46-46. Tied in Gallup 47-47. With 4 debates to go and $100 million for Romney/RNC to spend.
Yet it's all over. LOL!

I would say that this is the real startline of the 2012 campaign. Everything till now has been prelude.
Both sides are even in the two most reliable polls.
And this has been true for the last three days more or less.

There’s a reason Obama is hovering around 47%; he’s a flawed candidate.

Nate Silver called this race over two weeks ago. So he is not happy today (with both dailt trackers showing a dead heat). He tweets the following, with snark...
Nate Silver @fivethirtyeight: You definitely SHOULD look at the Gallup tracker. But if it's the ONLY thing you look at, you're basically revealing that you're a hack.

Now the media will harp on the debates and possible Romney gaffes.
There will be no mention of Biden gaffes in his debate with Ryan. None.
To: nhwingut
CBS poll will now have to boost their Democrap sampling to +20 to get Zero a 5% lead.

It appears that Romney has survived the 47% “scandal”.

People in IL may be so outraged at the tied polls that they will come out in record numbers to put their obama on top, but it’s the electoral vote that matters. Still one cannot get an electoral majority and trail too much in popular vote. Isn’t 1.5 million less in populatr votes the max permitted if a candidate is to exceed 270 elecdtoral votes? Those IL voters are among the most predictable in the coutry. They never met a liberal that didn’t warm their hearts and convince them that there might yet be a check in the mail.

It appears that Romney has survived the 47% scandal.
There was a post on HotAir by AllahPundit, and he went through all the gaffes through this campaign (You Didn't Build That, etc). And nothing has moved the needle. It was basically a preemptive 'don't worry about 47% gaffe.' Basically everyone seems locked in. Obama has 47% support. And Romney seems to have similar. With 6-8% undecided, who are probably scared of race card (hence saying undecided), but will go for Romney once in privacy of booth.

Theres a reason Romney is hovering around 47%; hes a flawed candidate.
A conservative candidate would be ahead around 60-40 running against a communist.

No, it’s not a tie, Obama is losing. He’s the incumbent and he’s only at 47%!

Gallup and Rasmussen just want stay within the margin until we get closer to the election so they can debate over who’s poll was the most accurate when its all over.

Gallup will be flipping over to LVs in the next week or so. It should give Romney an extra point or so.

Again, notice that Romney’s listed at 46 or 47 percent. Thanks nhwingut.
