Yes,I know he was arguing in favor of voting Romney instead of any of the other options. But there are more than a few koolaid drinkers here who would rather see Obama the Commie in office than Romney the "Commie".

I’ve been an anybody but Obama voter since before he took office, and nothing he has done makes me regret that. I did more than my fair share of bashing and smearing Romney before and during the primaries, but never for an instant considered not voting for him should he win. We can’t give this country to Obama twice, and expect to have anything left when he is done. At least with Romney there will be enough of America left to keep the battle for conservative principles alive. Obama is going to kill this nation, and there won’t be a Phoenix rising up from the ashes.

Go and watch the new Citizens United movie “The Hope and The Change”. Your spirits will be buoyed by how many “anybody but Obama” voters we’re likely to see.

I'm sure there are some out there who are aghast that I've "sold out." That I've "ditched my principles."

I used to be that way too, patting myself on the back for my purity. And I have to say, I still understand where people are coming from when they hesitate to support Mitt Romney.

But let me be very frank — if your principles include essentially allowing Barack Obama to have a second term, then your principles are...questionable, at best.

I submit that you can't really call yourself "pro-life," for instance, when you undercut a guy who, while perhaps making noise about agreeing with abortion in cases where the "health" of the mother is in danger, nevertheless has at least said he is pro-life and will oppose abortion, and instead effectively support the guy who voted for partial birth abortion when he was in the Illinois Senate.

You can't say you're against ObamaCare when you oppose the challenger who at least says he will work to repeal it, de facto supporting the guy who forced it onto us in the first place. I'm sorry, but you can't.

You can huff and you can puff and you can twist yourself into logical pretzels and you can bombastically accuse me of all kinds of things if you like, but in the end, you're helping to return Obama to the White House.

Encore.

Good grief. Political advice from an author who until a short while ago thought “there was very little difference between Romney and Obama”. Utter ignorance.

That being said, I’m glad the author has now seen the light and will be voting AGAINST OBAMA in the only effective way possible at this point - voting FOR ROMNEY. Romney was far from my first choice, but he’s light years ahead of our current president, who is clearly our worst case scenario.

I WOULD CRAWL ACROSS A MILE OF BROKEN GLASS TO VOTE AGAINST OBAMA.

So many words to say, "My brain finally overcame my pride".

Ding. To be honest, since the primaries ended, Romney has positively surprised me several times (Ryan pick, 911-2 presser, 47%)

Adding to the writer’s point - Obama not only was for partial birth abortion, he was for allowing a born-alive baby to be neglected to death, because the woman and her doctor had “intended” an abortion. It’s called infanticide.

I know Obama is not nearly as smart as his billing, and I know Obama is incompetent as is Jarrett, Hillary, et al, however that isn’t the worst. Obama is operating off of a plan, and a method, to radically restructure this country. So in THAT sense, he knows where he is pushing us and is not just some bumbling idiot. Pelosi and Reid are very willing accomplices, for power is all they care about.

Mitt Romney was never what Obama has always been and will always be.

That has always been clearly evident.

What you have on this site are people who say, we don’t care, and we don’t care what happens to America, all we care about is that when we stand before God in judgement we can say we didn’t vote for Mitt, who was evil. Not as evil as Obama, but evil.

And they will tell you that THAT makes them PURE, with clean hands and no responsibility for what happens.

Problem: we aren’t voting for our religious representative. Our spiritual guide. A preacher, a prophet, or as some would say a pope etc. Problem: America has had poor choices before between candidates for president. All of these are flawed individuals. Kennedy vs Nixon? And I would submit, Johnson vs Goldwater?

Politically they were no-brainer votes. But get down into the weeds as to what they were really like and what they really believed on certain things and they’re frought with trouble.

Might as well drop out of the system all together as to pretend that one somehow has the wisdom and knowledge to navigate all of this, make exactly proper choices, and come out of it pure as the wind driven snow, while attacking everyone else who makes a different decision.

Vote AGAINST Obama!
Vote AGAINST the media!
Vote AGAINST Academia!
Vote AGAINST excuse making Democrats!

The time to stop Romney was in the primaries, that didn’t happen, now it’s time to stop Obama.

Romney was not my first choice for nominee (I thought Gringrich was a better fit for the job), but now we have to make the best of things and number one on the list is to get Obama out of office, and send as many ‘Rats out the door with him as we can. We can do battle with Romney and “RINOs” later if we have to, but right now the best thing we can do is win the battle before us. While others may view voting against Obama as a “negative” vote (maybe it is), it still has a positive result, on balance. Defeating a radical liberal ‘Rat is always a plus for our side.

Romney was not my first choice but I think he might turn out to be more conservative than we think. No matter what I just want to get Obama out of the White House.

Very good analysis. I don’t like Romney at all, and he was last on my list of candidates, but he’s certainly nowhere near as evil as Obama (Romney’s probably not evil at all, in fact, just bland and too liberal) and Romney would also bring in with him people who are nowhere near as evil as those surrounding Obama.

If Obama gets reelected, we will not even have the luxury of having a similar discussion in the future, because our country will be transformed forever once he wields all the power of reelection and we will never be free Americans ever again. The state will be all in all.

People should give that some consideration, because not doing everything possible to prevent his reelection - including voting for an unlikeable opposition candidate - will make them complicit in installing this great evil permanently in our country.

A Romney Presidency will result in a lot of agita on our side. We’ll have to CONSTANTLY stay on him to keep the right course - there is no question in my mind about that.

However....

At least with Romney, we can make the argument and have the debate about limiting government, reducing spending etc... There’s no way to even have that debate with Obama. He is from 180 degrees across that ideological spectrum from us.
