Democratic National Committee predicts Romney will win first debate vs. Obama

It's a further lowering of expectations ahead of the first debate in Denver next week. Democratic National Committee spokesman Brad Woodhouse tells Fox News he thinks Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will win.

Woodhouse says the way the DNC sees it, challengers win the first debate when they are up against incumbents.

"Mitt Romney has had a lot more time to debate, the president has not debated in the past four years in terms, of a campaign debate. I think the president will hold his own, but he's not known for sound bites. And these are 60 second, 90 second responses."

The MSM will report what they are told to. Stories have already likely been written. Obama’s been handed the questions so they know his response.

Ok, I am confused I just read a few days ago that Romney will lose the debate.
Is this going to be like the Olympic badminton competition where both teams tried to throw the match.

The President is a slack jawed , stuttering imbecile who has a problem formulating sentences! He can’t think on his feet and he is lazy as the day is long!

That is why he will lose!

Who gives a poop? I am so sick of debates. JFK lost against Nixon; Bush lost against everyone. It didn’t matter. Romney won’t win or lose because of the debates. JFK looked better yeah, but he always looked better. People wanted to have a beer with Dubya more than Robogore or Melty Face, but they always did.

Someone tell me the president who won because of debates. Lincoln, maybe, but those were debates from a previous election. An election he lost. Still, without them he would gave remained a hick outsider failed house member. So there’s that. Reagan, with “There he goes again”? Nah, Carter malaised himself.

This is not a surprise.
No candidate should ever go into a debate bragging.

Any slip up will make you look like a tool for over-blowing your skills.

( * Democratic National Committee predicts Romney will win first debate vs. Obama * )

Remember folks, this is bazaaro world of Liberal logic setting the standards and expectations even lower.

They have to put Obama in the light that he might not win the debates, so therefore, he won, you get it ?

So ? if they set the standards and expectations lower, and he lives up to those lower standards and expectations, in effect ? he won ? you get it ? and Romney will be seen as running the score up " Bad, Bad, Shame, Shame on Mr. Romney for out performing the under dog "

You get it folks ? they are trying to make Obama look like the poor under privileged black man under dog with the mean white man running up the score... i.e. the sympathy vote.... that's their angle in this debate, make Romney look like the rich white privileged guy running up the score on the poor poor black man.

Will Romney hit a “home run” or will it be a “game changer”? The “media” and their masters down at the DNC are full of ****. The majority of the people won’t even be watching these debates. When someone is talking intelligently about the economy, the voters’ look at their TV like a pig looking at a wrist watch.

“spent most of his time reading speeches”

He won’t be able to read, but he’ll give them. The “moderators” won’t interior, and any Romney crosstalk will be Mitt’s itchy trigger finger versus Obama’s cool cat, Godlike reserve.

Lazy is a really good description.

He has told every he spent most of high school high, yet he was able to get into the best colleges.
Few remembers him in college, and the ones that do said he made no impact on anything or anyone.
In the Illinois senate (I read) he missed (either not in the chambers or voting abstention) 82% of the votes, the US senate he spent two years campaigning missing most votes for that, and as president he sleeps late parties all night and plays golf between attending parties and campaigning, oh and writing EOs.
(Ok, enough ranting on my part for a few minutes)

That’s not bizarro nor lib logic. Lowering expectations is a universal tactic.

"the president has not debated in the past four years in terms, of a campaign debate"

ObaMao hasn't attended briefings, but he's been campaigning (or vacationing) nonstop since he was an I'll state senator. He's the POTUS, what on earth does he need to do to prep since all his time has been consumed with image building?

When it comes to the economy, I should have just said, Romney would be talking intelligently. Barry Soetoro hasn’t a clue.

Romney could win the debate only if he rattles King Obama. King Obama cannot think on his feet and all he has is talking points that he memorized. Hit this fool with something he does not expect and a crash will be evident. Romney has to be aggressive and tough.
