President Obama and Mitt Romney meet for the first of three presidential debates starting at 9pm ET from the University of Denver. The 90-minute debate will be moderated by Jim Lehrer. C-SPAN Live coverage begins at 7pm ET.
This is the first election in Obama’s career where he’s faced real competition.
Thanks for the clarification on the CBS poll numbers.
Romney wins by a margin of over 2-1 over undecideds for tonight’s debate.
Expect to see Romney pull ahead in the polls, skewed or otherwise.
They will shift. Economy was Bambi’s best chance, (go from there if you will). The fact that foreign policy is next is a hard defensive road. The idiot needed all those csars for a reason. He is nowhere prepared to put people in place nor defend that action.
The liberal puppet is seeing that big ass bus for the first time.
Like I told someone else on this thread, don’t misread what I posted. Romney being the slow socialist will be getting my vote as long as he doesn’t fall of the stage and break his neck. No matter what happens, Obama the fast socialist will not get my vote. I also said that Romney beat Obama viciously and I liked that. So kindly go blow smoke elsewhere.
Taking one for the team...thanks.
Loved it when Mitt said that he has raised five boys and there are times they repeat lies hoping he would eventually believe it.
Obama looked tired, disheveled and out of sorts. Given in admitted “enthusiastic drug use” in the past; you have to wonder if he’s fallen off the wagon and is using again?
FY 2007 last Bush and GOP Congress. 2011 Last Obama and a Democrat Congress
If Obama is reelected by 2016 we will be so far over the fiscal cliff there will be no climbing back
Obama added planks favoring Gay Marriage and taxpayer funded abortion on demand up to birth to the 2012 Democrat Party platform.
By contrast the 2012 GOP platform is the most Conservative one in their history.
No matter how much you hate Romney, no one with a brain would refuse to see the stark difference between Romney and Obama on social issues.
With Romney Social Conservatives have a seat at the table, Obama will actively promote everything Soc Cons are against.
By 2016 everything Soc Cons claim to be so passionate about will be legislated. As Roe V Wade should of taught Soc Cons, once something is legislated it become almost impossible to undo.
Once 2016 rolls around the Judiciary will be so packed with Obamabots anything Soc Cons DID manage to legislate would simply be undone by Judicial Fiat.
If Obama is reelected there will be nothing left to win.
After another 4 year term of Obama the USA will be a European style 1 party state with a state directed media, that will allow just enough political window dressing from a "loyal opposition" to keep their peon classes passive Post Reply | Private Reply | To 27 | View Replies
Obama's performance was SO bad, there was just no way on earth for the MSM talking heads to spin or deny it. He failed THAT badly.
This is the new narrative, and the momentum is now all Romney's. Obama was already going to lose this election, but tonight confirmed it for 60,000,000 voting viewers. Enthusiasm on the left was already near the floor, but it's in the basement after tonight.
Time for Mooch and Obie to start picking out curtains for that $35 million dollar mansion in Hawaii.
Lol, but Reverend Al might just win the award for the most creative (though preposterous) spin in the face of a disastrous night.
Candy Crowley absolutely schooling Axelrod about the total ass kicking we all just witnessed. All the while the entire background (In huge letters):
We are already over the cliff Johnnie. When you or anyone else tells me how we repay 16TRILLION bucks, then there is ‘Hope for Change’. Until then it’s just dreaming.
Yeah, he debated Hill-lie-ary and McLame....one is now the most incompetent SOS we’ve ever had...
The other....has to listen to Megan.....
This was a really fun night....
I suppose you're right. Romney has no sealed divorce records to get "unsealed" late in the campaign, which is how Obummer won his first two elections. And then, apparently from what we saw tonight, Romney is no McCain (thank God).
So now there has to be a Soros watch established...
An APB out to make sure the guy doesn’t screw with the election.
Amazing so many are swayed by one debate? I mean Obama has sucked for 4 years! Anyone would be better.
Well said. Now Romney can use that pile of cash he's been sitting on to run ads from a position of strength. He'll be on offense instead of defense.
Fox News briefly showed the Obama spin room. It closely resembled the Red Sox locker room as of late.
I'm having a terrible time trying to stay on the forum and it keeps kicking off the net, then I do a arrow back and hit post again if I'm trying to post. I see a did a double post and there could be more of those after the extra one I just saw.
Thanks for posting. You and I are stuck with the truth and our Christian beliefs and we can't throw that away. This election goes to our core beliefs and we all have to make our own personal choice.
Yes, that’s what I watched. The fact some voted for barry in ‘08 - basically, idiots - only one debate changed their mind, impressive!
Lol. Al Sharpton says Obama was rope-a doping letting Romney state a lot of facts that will be proven wrong over the next several days. He is a snake.
Glad you enjoyed that one.
Agree they will try to spin/ lie. Facts are they can do much with Mitts simple statements.
Romney was awesome tonight! I’ve been calling friends and family since the debate ended and EVERYONE agrees that Romney was outstanding. Obama cannot defend his agenda when confronted by a true American.
(I notice that most of our usual trolls are suspiciously absent tonight):)
Well, like I said, I want deeds, not words. Mitt pulled off a masterful sales pitch tonight, but I want to see him act on those things he said. Like you, all I know of his deeds in this life, is that they've served an agenda that I'm fundamentally opposed to.
I haven't personally signed the sales contract (plenty enough others will do that for Mitt), but I'm not spitting nails at the guy tonight. I'm just too damn pleased watching someone body slam Obama to the mat for a change. I can't help being tickled as hell.
Good to see you, brother.
It’s not just Christian beliefs for me, though they play a part. It’s pure ‘right and wrong’ / Logic and reason. I cannot logically or by faith, rationalize supporting someone so diametrically opposed to my core beliefs. People are free to adjust their beliefs as the situation dictates as is their right. I am not.
Tonight proved that Romney will win regardless f my vote In AZ or anywhere else. So I am not going to flush everything when there is no reason under the sun for me to do so. Nor would I regardless.
That’s the bottom line for me and I DGAFreep what the rest of the herd thinks on the subject. ;)
Obama’s being the lifelong beneficiary of having doors opened for him, allies who will extract an opponent’s sealed divorce records, a national committee that will shade in his direction, and a compliant press corps that spins for him have all conspired to made him weak when faced with a real challenger.
The general consensus on Twitter seems to be that Obama totally choked—complete disaster for him.
Loved the way Romney gave his grandaughter that huge hug at the end of the debate!
Sad part is that the GOPers could have been doing D A I L Y this for 4 years. But they did not. Why?
Don’t answer. We both know. Unfortunately.
Juan Williams thinks Obama won the debate?
You're quite welcome. Your version would look great as a bumper sticker. I just hope your truck is old and scratched up already. You know how sourpuss libs are.
This is the first election in Obamas career where hes faced real competition.
So true. He used to smearing them out of existence.
Juan Williams utterly humiliating himself on Fox now. Juan is sticking to his pre scripted DNC talking points. He sounds like a total idiot.
Could Juan Williams be more full of crap? He may be the only person on the planet who thought Obumbo won. Even Kirsten Powers thinks Juan is full of it and Romney wiped the floor with Obama!
That idiot thinks NPR is fair and balanced too.
How I would relish 15 min on air ‘debating’ that fool.
Have the democrats blamed the thin-air yet because we all know the air take a little while to get used to.
Williams has had a stroke.
Dont answer. We both know.
Don't worry. I'll just answer with a ...sigh...
Romney’s talk to the student body at the Citadel in South Carolina had him looking like the perfect conservative candidate. If he lives up to that talk he will make Regan look moderate and will be accorded the greatest president ever. Actions however greatly outweigh words and his past actions do not match his words.
Just so you know, the rest of the herd doesn’t care.
...can we move on to the next...President
The hundreds of posts a month ago from the herd trying to sway me gives lie to that assertion.
Romney has picked up the pace that is true, however he will never be like Reagan.
Obama phoned it in tonight on an Obamaphone:
“Keep Obama in president!”
the Professional obliterated the Amateur.
But this is a small, mostly conservative town, and that lil truck's owner has been even crankier than usual these past four lØng hellish years.
I seem to remember an article a while ago that the admin was indeed using the Obamaphones to relay ‘important text messages to the ‘owners’ of said phones.
Totally nonpatrisian of course...
Well, I live in the DFW metroplex, so my truck might not fare so well with that sticker attached. Funny thing is, no one’s touched it, even though it’s had a Gadsden flag sticker on the back window for years now.
I have been flipped off a few times, though .. LOL
