Obama's Rope-a-Dope?
Original Content | 10/04/12 | Jdsteel

President Obama may not be as skilled an orator as he is thought to be by the media, but he is not as inept as he came across in the first debate. I believe he purposefully stumbled. The stammering, the lack of focus, at one point bumping the microphone were in my opinion a carefully constructed act. I believe he is trying to set the stage for a knock-out punch to his opponent in the next debate. From now until then the media will focus on Obama and his need to have a strong showing. If I am right the question is will Romney be prepared?

Last night's debate was a replay of his D.N.C. speech, lackluster at best.....
So ? are you saying ? he was doing a Rope-A-Dope even at the D.N.C. speech ?

So ? This Administration's lying and abysmal response to what happen in Libya a rope-A-dope ?

Ridiculous. That’s like a team throwing the first game of a 3 game playoff series to lull their opponents into a false sense of security. Would that EVER happen? It makes absolutely NO sense. It is however what the crazed leftists are saying to feel better about the inept performance of the commie in chief.

Bingo. Today I am being told that Romney won on style points by correctly identifying that the policies of the past and potential future by the incumbent won't work. Theyy is still some serious denial out there. I though Mitt was quite "substantive" in revealing why these policies don't work, why they were put into place. The best line of the night: "You don't pick winners and losers... you pick losers." Next Week: Foreign Policy Seriously - how many times will he be able to fall back on the death of bin Laden? Hopefully we can start with Nicaragua and give the world a concise but brief history lesson on "How Not To Do US Foreign Policy".

Yes . I just posted this a while ago on FB : “ Obongo got OWNED , bigtime . We now know that Mitt’s strategy all along was to wait until the first debate to drop the bombs , taking Obozo by surprise . Brilliant . “

Especially since people are already voting. Those casting absentee ballots don't get a re-do. Unless you're a Dim, in which case you just vote two more times to offset the original ballot...

your opinion proves how effective the media is at proping up a fake obama.
Just watch the montage of blunders that hannity has put together again and see for yourself how inept obama really is. no filter, no teleprompter....this guy is stupid....even at trying to transform america. there were two people naked to the country explaining their own ideology. one was red, white and blue....one red (socialist) that simple. The liar was exposed last night.

Most lawyer-trained politicians — even Biden — can turn it on when they’re in front of a judge. Obama is one of the few who DON’T have that quality.

Well, he did have the haughty john kerry (who by the way served in Vietnam) as a debate trainer.

I am more concerned with how the moderators of the next two presidential debates will carry 0bama’s water. They know their empty chair president cannot withstand anyone who challenges him so they will defend, deflect and distract for him. Lehrer tried last night but Romney did not play along. I expect Bob Schieffer and Candy Crowley to be as rude and disrespectful towards Romney as possible.

A lib in my office said the very same thing today. But I personally think it’s just spin.

Yeah, how is this for a Rope-A-Dope ? when Romney was taking about the $ 90 Billion for the Green Industry, you can hear Obama in his own voice agreeing, “ Ummmm humm “ .... means, yes your right.

Well, we certainly saw the DOPE. I don't know anything about the ROPE. Last night was a beat down of historic proportions. Romney proved his mettle. Nevertheless, I saw quotes from “undecideds” in my morning paper questioning why Romney hasn't provided more “details” of his tax plan or replacing Obamacare. I find this Democratic talking point amusing coming from people who voted for the One, whose plan in 2008 was “Hope and Change”. Now there is a detailed recipe for growth.

IMHO, obama’s hubris would not allow him to stage such a set up.

He is simply incompetent.

Interesting premise, but I believe that it won’t be the debate but an “October surprise” dirty trick from the Democrats we should be worried about right now. Obama will do terrible in the second debate...he has no record to stand on and he cannot recover that much. Watch for the October surprise, not the next debate.

You clearly have not watched Obama debate in the past. He’s a pretty poor debater overall. He performed well in the 2008 Presidential Debates because John McCain is simply a very poor debater.

Obama got his clock cleaned by Hillary a couple of times in the Democrat debates in 2008 and by John Edwards as well. However, by then the press was carrying his water and had turned on Hillary. So this is what you get when you’ve lived in an insulated world and rely on a corrupt press to do your bidding and prop you up when you look weak.

Your right. Obama’s plan was to go into the debates with leads in all the polls...and then purposefully flush the lead down the crapper. . . .

____________________________________________________________

lol!

Well perhaps that was his plan, after all, it did it so well.

In reality, the first debate is by far and away the most important. The followup debates won’t have near the audience. The press will try to spin the later debates but the people who only saw the first one have already formed their opinions. According to the focus groups, last night really hurt Obama, many non-committed voters said they will be voting for Romney. They decided last night.

Romney was strong, he obviously knew what he was talking about.

What brought me the most joy was Romneys quoting the constitution in answering what the government was supposed to do for the people.

He’s smarter. We the People just aren’t bright enough to comprehend his brilliance. I think we can all agree that we just don’t deserve him as president. ;)

The next debate is a town hall style one on all topics. ...Of that, I was aware. It is just that I don’t consider these to be debates. “Boxers or briefs?” Obama will probably come off good on this “Mr. President, what did you have for breakfast this AM?” “Mr. Romney, tell us what you will do to stop the escalating violence caused by Isreal to the poor Palestinians who were thrown out of their homeland. You have 60 seconds.”
