Some Obama Campaign Aides ‘Shell-Shocked’ After Debate
The Daily Beast ^ | 10/4/2012

The president’s team officially downplayed the debate, faulted Romney’s facts, and pledged to make adjustments. But some aides and alumni admitted Mitt changed the narrative last night.

“People had been set in their ways, with many thinking, ‘Obama is going to win,’” said William Daley, now back in Chicago after serving in the West Wing. “If this is a restart and a second look for those who have been soft, then that puts pressure on [Vice President Joe] Biden in the next big show,” meaning the vice-presidential debate with Rep. Paul Ryan on Oct. 11.

“What seems to be a victory in optics for Romney may create an opportunity for those people to take a second look. Looking at the polling going into the debate, he needed that,” said Daley, who oversaw Vice President Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign against George W. Bush.

“Opinion is that he had an extremely good night, and that is a big advantage,” said Daley. “That’s big for a guy on the ropes, now perhaps back with solid legs in the ring. Whether that now turns into a fundamental beginning of a reshape of the campaign is unknown.”

At least two current Obama campaign aides were more blunt than Daley and used the term “shell-shocked” over the Obama performance. There were various analyses of what went wrong, including finger-pointing at debate preparations. Those included claims that Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, who played the role of Romney in mock debates, probably wasn’t tough and aggressive enough. (“He does, after all, want to be Secretary of State,” claimed one aide.)

The only shell shocked folks are those in the military working under Zer0’s rules of (lack of) engagement.

Shell shock is an under statement. The leftists are having a Daschle in the empty room chair moment in the political forums while others are insisting that Obama let Clinton stand in and debate on his behalf and if Romney will not accept - too bad. Obama is too busy for this. LOL!

#2 is Town Meeting format, which I think means it's unpredictable.
#3 is Foreign Policy, which means that Obama gets to remind us that he killed Osama with his bare hands.

Here is the part that makes me nervous: The next debate will be even worse for Obama. The subject matter coupled with current events guarantees it.

So KNOWING that if it takes place he is going to lose BIG, what do they plan on doing about it?

Wow, are they really suggesting that?

The problem with Biden, well there are many, but one main problem with Biden is in his heart he knows what the problems are with this administration and he knows it is a failure of epic proportions.

"That’s big for a guy on the ropes"

Still clinging to the Talking Point that they slanted polls have given them, re-inforcing the 24/7 State-Run-Media instructions to keep The Messiah in front, even though the over-whelming populace is fed up with the handouts to cronies and donors of BORROWED MONEY, and with un-employment, less-than-full-employment, and REDUCED WAGE EMPLOYMENT is at all time highs, while Illegals take jobs and are rewarded with handouts, they STILL won't allow ANYONE to admit that NOBODY WANTS THIS A-HOLE IN THE WHITE HUT, except Unions, Blacks, and those taking handouts.

It was revealed on "The Panel" on "Special Report" on Fox News tonight that only 4 people entered "spin alley" for Obama after the debate (The room where all the Campaign spokesmen give their spin on the debate immediately after the event)

They said this was significant because many of the "Obama Spinners" were distraught and had no idea how to spin what they just witnessed.

Romney's people (about 12) were eager to get in "spin alley" and talk to the Media.

Has anyone ever tried to argue with those Mormon guys who do witnessing for two years? They are well-trained to keep on topic and keep their composure. I don’t think lazy Barry is the one who will be able to rattle Romney.
