ABC News scrambles to cover up Barack Obama’s attendance at VP debate moderator’s wedding

Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned. Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review.

After TheDC made preliminary inquiries Monday to confirm Obama’s attendance at the wedding, ABC leaked a pre-emptive statement to liberal-leaning news outlets including Politico and The Daily Beast Tuesday, revealing what may have been internal network pressure felt just days before Raddatz was scheduled to moderate the one and only vice-presidential debate Thursday night.

Both Politico and The Daily Beast jumped to ABC and Raddatz’s defense. The Huffington Post, another liberal news outlet, joined them shortly thereafter, while calling “unusual” ABC’s attempt to kill the story before it gained wide circulation.

right, I knew he was a lefty, just that it is under the radar more than most. Hell, even Greta Van Sustenance on Fox is a more overt leftist even though she portrays herself as a centrist or non biased.

Every time she has a conservative on she will second guess them and play devil's advocate and try to get a gotcha moment, but the interviews with democrats or RINO Republicans and she is all chummy and buddy buddy with them.

There was a time she'd have RINO Lindsay Graham on 2-3 times a week and acting like they were old friends. She has on Col. Allen West and is trying to trip him up. Same thing with Scott Walker and Paul Ryan from Wisconsin (her homestate) where'd you'd expect her to be chummy with them, but outside of a reference to the Packers, she would try to undermine them and try to hit them with the liberal media bias that was attacking them in other outlets and it comes across like the typical scumbag tactic of asking someone how many times he beats his wife. Loaded questions like that make me sick and I am sick of Greta Van Sustenance!

Please ping this to military personnel who may have had contact with Martha Raddatz in Iraq, Afghanistan, or elsewhere. Details on why below.

I am not especially concerned about President Obama attending the wedding of a law school classmate to Martha Raddatz, especially considering that they're now divorced and the wedding took place back in 1991. We all know the Washington elite socialize with each other. I suspect we could also find similar relationships with lots of people on the conservative side of the Washington establishment who went to elite law schools or got an Ivy League education.

I'm more interested in Raddatz’s more recent activities.

She's a foreign affairs and war correspondent.

Unless she's a pure “talking head” who lets her assistants do most of the work prepping her to stand in front of the camera and talk (yes, that does happen in TV news, especially at the elite levels) she's probably spent a lot of time around the troops in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, and quite likely elsewhere.

That means she has almost certainly come into contact with Freepers or friends of Freepers.

Let's get some facts about how she treated troops and whether military personnel believed she was biased against them.
