The toughest part of the job for first lady Michelle Obama? Not being able to stroll around her local drugstore.
In an interview with NBC's iVillage, the first lady said she sometimes chafes at the bubble of the White House.
I cant walk outside. I cant take my dog for a walk," the first lady said.
Acknowledging that most Americans face much more hardship and difficulty than she does, she said she nevertheless sometimes regrets the "loss of privacy" and "loss of anonymity."
"I tease, its like one day I am going to walk out that gate. Im just going to walk out. I'm going to walk out. No one's going to know, Im not going to notify anybody and Im just going to walk Im going to go to CVS," she said.
~~SNIP~~
"Now at CVS you have to get your bag, you have to pay if you want a bag. I heard about that, so its like I dont want to go into CVS all ignorant and be like whats this
and now I know that you have to pay for a bag which wasnt the case three and a half years ago so things have changed," she said.

“I can’t walk outside”
Damn rich people!
Lots of people under 30 or so don’t even get the joke
Afterwards just keep walking all the way to your paid for 35 million dollar estate in Hawaii. BTW call us when you make it as I am certain that you just like your 'husband' can also walk on water.
Didn't the media pounce all over Bush because he was fascinated by those new-fangled scanners? Bet they don't say a word about Michelle amazed they are charging for plastic bags. But, really, why is she amazed - it is the Liberals who want to charge for the bags to clean up the environment. She should be thrilled to pay more for the government mandated regulations.
She is missing all the great sales at Wally-World too.
All baldfaced frigging lies. There is not one word of actual truth that comes out of the mouths of people who live in that house, nor who work in the upper levels of our government.
omgosh! i feel like i should not laugh, but i cannot stop! if i were alone right now, i would guffaw!!! who in the world set up that display? i'm trying to hold in my laugh, and people are looking at me...
she left the “d” off from in front of “bag”.....
An education at Harvard Law School just isn't what it used to be.
“I tease, its like one day I am going to walk out that gate. Im just going to walk out. I’m going to walk out. No one’s going to know...”
We’ll know. We’ll be tuned-in to FOX News, and as we stand and cheer while we watch the Romneys walking in, we’ll know that just prior to that you finally did walk out.
Hey Michelle, There’s the door, take a hike.
Nothing stopping you from going to the drug store
like any other citizen, heck you could even go
down to the corner and cop just like anyone
in the hood.
Think back, Michelle.
Remember on Inauguration Day when you and that ‘husband’ of yours couldn’t even be civilized enough to see the Former President Bush and his lovely wife, Former First Lady Barbara Bush, leave to fly to their home in Texas, saying you had dinner reservations?
Remember? You couldn’t wait three minutes for a dinner reservation about 3 miles away. You left.
There is no amount of plastic surgery, no amount of liposuction, no amount of freebie designer clothes and jewelry, no amount of $1500 a day applied makeup and wigs that will ever erase or change who you really are.
If you still don’t get it, look at the picture of bitter, angry, seething you with the very elegant, very classy Former First Lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy. THAT is who we know you to be.
There’s the door. Don’t let it hit you on the way out and keep right on walking.
But, she and her posse can travel all over the world on the citizens' dime.
When I saw "bubble" in the headline, I thought this thread would be about her ass...her bubble butt that she seems so fond of, like her arms.
That racist!
Aren’t the whitehouse grounds 5 acres or something like that? Plenty of space to walk BO. And she can take the dog too.
HA, HA!
