BEIRUT (AP) - Fighters from a shadowy militant group with suspected links to al-Qaida joined Syrian rebels in seizing a government missile defense base in northern Syria on Friday, according to activists and amateur video.

I don’t think there’s anything “shadowy” about it. All of these Arab Spring revolutions are controlled by terrorists. The Syrian government is evil, but the terrorists are even worse.
I’ve been kind of surprised that Obama and Hillary haven’t gone in to help them, the way they have everywhere else.

Well Joe, I guess the Ayatollahs have their missile delivery systems now.
I heard yesterday that we DO have boots on the ground at the Syrian border to provide support for the “rebels.” Our State Dept. is overtly supporting Al Quaida; WTH!

Amb Stevens’ real job in Libya was first arming the rebels, and later funneling Libyan arms to Syrian rebles, who are chocked full of AQ and MB.
Seizing a missile base is no small matter.
This all ultimately is being timed to really boil over just in time to distract from the election.
Think back to ‘79, with the Ayatullah taking over in Tehran. Bad, huh?
Now imagine that every nut there sending Iran to hell was armed with AMERICAN BACKING, and that American “advisers” were there, making sure he was properly equipmped to throw out the Shah —that is not quite what we have here.
BUT IT IS CLOSE.
This isn’t so simple —it will involve Turkey, and then Russia.

Panetta: We’ve Lost Track of Syrian Chemical Weapons

The U.S. has lost track of some of Syria’s chemical weapons, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Friday, and does not know if any potentially lethal chemicals have fallen into the hands of Syrian rebels or Iranian forces inside the country.
“There has been intelligence that there have been some moves that have taken place. Where exactly that’s taken place, we don’t know.” Panetta said, in a Pentagon press briefing.
Yep...that is what I mean....lol.
