This one, Romney won.. but Obama got too many unanswered zingers in there (because Obama flails all over, NEVER stays on topic, and so Romney can’t respond to all his absurd accusations). So, no, Romney didn’t ‘destroy’ him.
Next one: Romney better let all his natural decency to the side and attack Obama. Fight Dirty.

I saw the Tigers game instead. It was probably a good thing for my blood pressure. I have to ask. Did Candy Crowley suck as bad as I’ve been hearing? It sounded like it was so bad that if Obama was straight, I’d have to question what’s going on. That’s how bad of job of moderating it sounds like she did. I didn’t see it, but it wouldn’t shock me in the least.
Playing backseat driver I was thinking :
“Look Mr POTUS, the reason why you made up the story about the youtube riot is because you had already claimed that Bin Laden’s death made these diplomats safer and now they are dead due to your incompetence. “

I thought she did well. Obama, when answering, would just throw random accusations out, so if it was not Romney’s turn then these claims were unrebutted. What was she supposed to do?
Next turn went to Romney and he could waste the time, there was already a new topic to address.

Does anyone have a screenshot or link to Obama’s sneer when Romney brought up Fast and Furious gun program? I thought it was the angriest look I have seen on a candidate’s face during a debate.
I agree with the consensus that the moderator was a horror show. She frequently let Obama get the last word in. It was Romney or Obama getting the question, one responds, and Obama gets the last word, happened on almost every question.
Many of the questions were layups for Obama. On the Benghazi question, I don’t see how the mainstream media can label this as a major missed opportunity by Romney, sure he could have attacked it stronger but he got in some major points on it and his time once again was cut short, you had Obama looking weak, begging Candy to stop the discussion and you can basically now cut an ad showing Obama lying about what he said on September 12.
I also thought that in many of the mano a mano exchanges Romney came across stronger than Obama.
I was not sure whether it was an accident, or Luntz had some purpose in stacking the jury, or what.
Well just minutes ago the same focus group about 3/4 of them said they are now voting for Romney after this debate. That is a flip of 1/2. That is much more informative than a sample of Rush 24/7 members as some seem to want to poll.
Interesting. I wonder if Luntz knew what was going to happen. We don't know if Luntz gave them some "things to think about" before viewing the debate.

Examples : Ryan on his letter begging for stimulus funding for his district AND his promising us congress will make sure cutting tax rates will not add deficits.

IMO, the only reason the freak is in the WH was to assuage/alleviate liberal guilt.
I don’t have any of that mythical “guilt” so maybe that’s why I’m immune to their false narratives.
Greta van Susterin had an interesting theory: If Romney had been smoother/more convincing on this point, it might be just one more item that the audience might or might not remember. But by stumbling somewhat, Romney ensured that all the talk shows are going to keep talking about the Obama administration's bizarre comments about the Benghazi attack (not to mention that he went to a Vegas fundraiser the same day as the attack). And Obama would probably like to avoid those subjects.
