Romney Won, But the Dems need to know it! vanity

Romney won, but we need to help the dems know that. Most dems make decisions upon social comparison. they feel their way through life without ever really thinking. As such, when the 'feel' others will vote Romeny, they will too. The MSNBC propaganda team has a vote up now. Let's all vote there and make Romney win!

Since MSNBC is watched by so few people, a few thousand votes will do the trick. Go to: http://tv.msnbc.com/2012/10/16/poll-who-won-tonights-debate/

Nice analysis. That was the impression I had also, that there is a substantial bloc of voters that’s only “awaiting permission” to support Romney.

As an aside, Ross Perot endorsed Romney today. I think that gives these voters a bit of that permission, don’t you?

Absolutely. He is sort of the independent’s independent. I knew plenty of people who wouldn’t be caught dead voting Republican, but supported Perot openly and proudly. He has been the only candidate that I can remember that people could support, without worrying at all about what others might think. By endorsing Romney, he makes it that much easier for Democrats and independents who are concerned about the country, but highly suspicious of Republicans in general, to cross that line.

Romney has really done a very good job (and I was pretty firmly in the anyone but Mitt camp). I have a sneaking suspicion that in the next debate, he is going to be spending a lot more time talking directly to the American people, and (not dis-respectively) only engaging Obama when necessary. Essentially, saying with his actions and his demeanor: “this is my stage now, I am going to tell the American people what they can expect over the next 4 years (and, oh, President Obama, I didn’t realize you were still here ...)”. I have seen enough to be confident that he could pull this off effectively.

Looking at the focus groups, interviews, and so on, I am getting the distinct impression that people have started to tune Obama out. It isn’t over, but over is visible from here.

Unbiased moderator shutting off only conservative candidate?

Who was the conservative candidate? I didn’t see one.

My coworker like Clint Eastwood said is "LEFT OF LENIN"

He is convinced that Obama won, heck he thought Obama won the 1st debate. So really IMHO the only people falling for Obama this time around are his base. The moderates and independents are running as fast as they can away from him.

The election will be called before the polls close on the left coast. I am smelling 1980-1984 style drubbing here.

I think you both make great points, and I agree. The bias on display by the “moderators” in these debates is so obvious to anyone but the most pro-Obama types already; any truly independent thinker is finding all of this tiresome, juvenile and insulting to his/her intelligence. Crowley’s stunt last night WILL backfire and it’s going to show up in the polls very soon. One can only imagine what Shieffer will try next week.

And jj, I think you were being facetious, but I won’t be a bit surprised if we start hearing about some sort of “indiscretions” on Romney’s part before the end of next week. Girl, boy, apple pie... who knows what they’ll come up with?
