From what I’ve read from various PA-based Freepers, that is the critical area to winning the state. Philly proper being deep blue, and most of the rest of the state being reddish.
I’m not holding my breath, but it would be nice if Romney could take PA on election night. That would be a huge blow to Obama’s EV calculus.
My understanding is Philly tends to have more votes cast than citizens since about 1992 in Presidential elections.
If we win PA, Game over. :)
