DELRAY BEACH, Fla. Mitt Romney has taken a narrow national lead, tightened the gender gap and expanded his edge over President Barack Obama on who would best grow the economy.
A new POLITICO/George Washington University Battleground Tracking Poll of 1,000 likely voters taken from Sunday through Thursday of last week shows Romney ahead of Obama by two points, 49 to 47 percent. That represents a three-point swing in the GOP nominees direction from a week ago but is still within the margin of error. Obama led 49 percent to 48 percent the week before.
Romney has not led in the poll since the beginning of May. Across the 10 states identified by POLITICO as competitive, Romney leads 50 to 48 percent.
On the generic congressional ballot, Republicans now tie Democrats, 46 percent to 46 percent, after trailing slightly over the last six weeks. Two weeks from Election Day, the GOP nominee also continues to maintain a potentially pivotal advantage in intensity among his supporters. Seventy-two percent of those who support Obama say they are extremely likely to vote, compared to 80 percent who back Romney. Among this group, Romney leads Obama by 7 points, 52 to 45 percent.

And this is coming my way
They call it a blowout
My foe’s being pounded down
And I’m arisen again
I’m arisen again
Now that dear friends
Dear friends is what they call
A blowout, they call it a blowout!
Blowout, blowout!

We need you to spread some sunshine in this thread:

Looks like these other polls are starting to catch up to Gallup.
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
Let us sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Sing it!! :))
There’s that 47 percent again!
That thread is disgusting. I felt dirty just reading it and wasn’t going to give it any cred by responding within it.
As an Ohioan I’m really sick of hearing the whining from everyone else drinking the msm koolaid and buying into polls formulated with an ‘08 turnout skew. I can feel it, Mitt is going to sweep the buckeye state.
When you read the internals of these polls they are WAY better than what Obama did in ‘08, yet there is a HUGE disconnect between the internals and the end number.
This is why we’ll have a collective deer in the headlight look from the MSM on election night.
Ping
Obama says he called the Libya masacre TERRORISM in the Rose Garden on 9-12-12.
Romney repeated with a question what he had said with a very strong LOOK (and that look was powerful).
Well, Obama decided he could not reply to that—either in the affirmative or in the negative—so he replied, “You Proceed, Governor.”
Romney said he just wanted to be sure Obama’s statement was on the record. Immensely powerful moment.
What do these early voting statistics mean? Are they based upon exit polls, like the ones that had Kerry beating Bush in a landslide? Or are they reporting only that reliably Democratic voters, who would vote Democrat no matter what, are voting early? Do the stats tell us anything about how the independent vote is breaking?
How are we to interpret early voting statistics?
The early voting tells you nothing about party breakdown or voting intentions.
In two weeks we’ll find out if its really a Romney blowout or Obama ekes out a narrow come from behind win.
We’ll just have to see. The media is invested in Obama and they will never report things are going badly for him. But you can bet it will magnify every misstep, blunder and forced error Romney makes.
I think Romney will win. But Obama is not going to go quietly into that good night.
Pray that our national nightmare may soon be over. The Golfer in Chief must be retired.
Time for a D-11 poll (Obama up 2) from ABC/WaPost to cancel this out.
I wonder where the REAL Battleground Poll is... The one put out by the Tarrance Group.
That poll has been the MOST ACCURATE ( even better than Rasmussen ) for the past 3 election cycles.
This is the poll done by the Tarrance Group, Republicans, with Celinda Lake, Democrat.

What will be the next Obama BLUNDER/Surprise?
Obamas Foreign Policy has been just one BLUNDER after another.
What was judicious about the slaughter of Our Libyan Ambassador?
What was honorable about the Benghazi Cover Up?
What is stable about an AWOL, Empty Chair Commander In Chief?
Send the BLUNDERING Obama back to the slum streets of Chicago!
