OK, Bill's points tonite are:
I actually think Mitt’s problem was more with his style and personality last night than his answers. Prager pointed out that on paper it looked like Mitt won the debate. Medved actually said Mitt was sick with the flu or something last night. Mitt just seemed to be stuttering a lot and lacked confidence. And he’s the one who ended up looking down at his desk and scribbling notes the way Obama did in the first debate.
Totally agree!!!!
I agree with BOR something between 60% and 85% of the time, but find him insufferable even when I agree with him.
(Michael Savage is another media figure I agree with most of the time, but can’t stand even when I agree with him.)
6 in 10 who were polled thought Mitt looked and acted presidential and informed. What the heck do you want the guy to do? Come out during the debate and say I’m going to nuke Iran. He was very strong on Israel. He also stressed that one cannot have a strong American military and foreign policy without a strong economy. That is a pretty decent set of debate points. Even Rasmussen said he came across as a candidate who was behind trying to shake things up.
Lighten up folks. We have to get O out before we can start holding peoples feet to the fire
To continue with the golf theme and to illustrate the importance of foreign policy (low importance to voters) verses the economy (most important to voters). Romney shot par in the first round of the John Deere classic during the foreign policy portion and shot 6 under during the final round of The Masters (the economy portion of the debate).
I agree with O’Reilly. I also think that much of the commentary implicitly assumes that “being Presidential” and attacking Obama/vigorously defending are mutually exclusive. They aren’t. You can do both.
But maybe Romney knows more than we do and the polls are not as close as they appear. If so, I will gladly eat crow (with gravy).
BOR is the idiot who drooled all over himself when he did his softball, fawning interview with Obama. I can not bear that pompous, know-it-all windbag. Makes me agree with Romney more.
But that was good!!!
I think Obama put in his best performance in terms of style last night and outshone a shakier Romney that way. But it’s harder today to remember anything Obama said, whereas Romney’s answers had more substance and resonate better now.

Agree. OReilly let Obama schuck and jive him the whole interview.
Here’s my take, whatever it’s worth. Since Jeter broke his ankle, I’d given up observing that series and focused on this one. Dunno, just MHO.
Below is what I wrote pre debate about the article. It went as expected, regardless of what others are saying. They don’t get that the audience and Bob Sch. are on Bracky’s side, even after the audience, who were forbidden from doing so by the “rules”, laughed at the mockery over the military.
Obama is a champion debater - in his world; his rules- those by which the audience and Scheiffer follow- and, no, he was not fair, sorry those who think so.
Mitt clocked Bracky who didn’t see it coming. That was his one chance and he took it. There was no way Obama wasn’t going to pull him in to a trap. It was Obama who was kicking the dog late last night. He failed to pull him in even with the support system of playing dirty he put together.

Couldnt get past the first sentence.
I think its the most outrageous thing Ive ever read about this man. Man/boy.
Mitt has been preparing to deal with this for a solid week and a half with time off to shake hands and to eat and sleep.
Mitt earned a business and a law degree simultaneously from that awful Harvard. Obama was doing what while at Harvard on his Manchurian candidate scholarship?
Mitt can study and has done so in his work since college.
He now knows he is dealing with a rather pathological liar who has the media on his side.
Hell wrap him up in cellophant.
Exactly right.
Anyone who thought Obama ‘won’ didn’t understand what really happened. Mitt played exactly as he wanted. As you suggested, you could tell who won simply by the demeanor of each of them at the time of their closing arguments.
Agree. BOR is full of it. Gets a rare interview from our side and kisses Obama’s butt the entire time. Horrible.
Mitt was after the women voters and undecideds. They agree he won. We wanted red meat and slams but that’s not what the goal was.
Obama had prepared lines and stayed in attack mode. Television is a cool medium. Obama looked out of control and desperate.
Romney won the debate.
Yes...a trap was set up and they failed!!!
IMHO, POST OF THE THREAD!
...okay, except maybe the fact checking on the purple lipped prince's answers - the lies were a big deal today as well...
Complete nonsense.
O’Reilly, as usual, is egging on the crowd who can’t stand to see socialism lose.
Yep. Most of us knew Romney would make a lousy RINO candidate. The only reason Romney has a chance at all is because of the turd he is running against. The only reason to vote for Romney is because he makes us wanna puke a bit less than obama. Great
“BOR is the idiot who drooled all over himself when he did his softball, fawning interview with Obama.”
True. BOR talked of how tough he’d be . . . then obama reached over and touched BORs leg and he melted like JELL-O.
I would trust any Freeper to have done a better job than Mitt did last night. Mitt has no core values, it is clear. He means well but he weather vanes to easily.
