Despite the issue garnering a significant amount of media interest as well as the attention of the Secret Service, Obama supporters continued their threats to riot and assassinate Mitt Romney if Obama loses in the aftermath of last night’s presidential debate.
As we reported last week, Twitter has been flooded recently with violent comments from Obama supporters. The increase in volume of the comments seemed to coincide with Romney’s poll numbers edging higher against Obama.
Not only have Obama voters been making open threats that they will riot and cause mayhem, they have also been caught making direct threats to assassinate Mitt Romney, prompting the Secret Service to announce that it was “aware” of the threats and would “conduct appropriate follow up if necessary.”
Despite the fact that the media reported extensively on threats made against Obama prior to the 2008 election, their silence on the threats made against Romney has been deafening. Indeed, the act of a few old guys hanging up empty chairs in reference to Clint Eastwood’s RNC speech garnered substantially more coverage and concern from the press compared to hundreds if not thousands of tweets threatening violence against Mitt Romney.

If that was any of us they’d be at our door in a flash with handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit.

I have been doing a considerable amount of reloading lately and the last few weeks I have found it impossible to purchase M885 and M882 projectiles. I am in good shape with cases, powder and primers, although I have heard small handgun primers are getting scarce locally. Note: I don't powder or primers over the Internet due to the Hazmat fees.
this is why ammo and gun purchases have increased!
Once again, so glad I live in central Alabama where every decent redneck has several guns and has been able to use ‘em since they were probably 3 or 4! :)
Glad I am not in a huge metropolitan area, too. Never thought the day would come when we’d be worried about safety when casting a vote in the US of A. Guess Obama’s desire to make us more like the rest of the world is becoming reality.
Romney has got to change things, that’s fer sure!
Do not be surprised if there will be an increased police prescence at the polling plances and on the streets thereafter.

Off topic but in High School Physics I answered ‘F=ma’ on a quiz and it was marked incorrect. The teacher later argued thatit should have been Sigma F=ma, that is, the SUM of the forces equals mass times acceleration. So, FWIW...

This past weekend I went to Walmart at 1:00 a.m., expecting to be able to buy toilet paper and a few other goodies (since Walmart here has historically been open 24 hours). When I got there, the place was closed. Yesterday I was informed that they have been closed midnight to 6:00 a.m. since July something or other.
Don't know if there's any connection between this and any possible rioting that might be expected.
I plan on staying close to home except for voting. Will keep an eye peeled for trouble. Hope everybody stays safe!
Ammoman.com is a very well-known supplier to the shooting enthusiast community. If you don't reload yourself, and want to buy bulk ammo, they are a reputable business.
I used to compete in IDPA and IPSC matches, and would go through 50-150 rounds each time. I didn't have the time or patience to reload, so I'd buy a case of factory-new FMJ ammo from Ammoman.
Ironically, they are in New Jersey. But, they won't ship to a NJ address.
I live in a county where all my neighbors are good, well-balanced folks who are very responsible and honorable, and also *very* proficient w/firearms. It’s heartwarming!
Yes and yes. While a little judicious shopping might yield slightly lower prices, I’ve found them to be reliable. (note...their prices INCLUDE shipping costs.)
They actually shorted me 500 rounds on a 1000 round order. When I emailed, they said send them a few photos of the package I’d received...and the second 500 arrived a few days later. No hassles.
I’m in the same county and out area has Romney signs all over but I did notice the day after Biden was here that many signs were taken all along Woodlawn onto 16 and around the intersection of US1 and 16.
Where did the signs go where you noticed please?
I was in Winn Dixie on US1 just south fo the airport and whilst waiting for the misses I saw a older car with 3 older teens or student looking kids at the trunk of that car.
They had a map and notes and were all looking over the map and then taking paper with notes on them from one woman who looked to be in charge.
This is just up the road from where their HQ is too.
I said something to the wife but she said no way but then that night signs were taken along the route I said before and now you state more have taken.
Not sure where you are but in my neighborhood it;’s all Romney signs minus one which belongs to a famly who have just rented a house from NY, who do not work, who by their daughters have food stamps and welfare, their daughters are always in trouble and one goes to Sebastian middle and the other St Augustine high .
My younger daughter heard her younger daughter state they are going to move soon and then kept saying ont he bus how abma is great, Romney sucks because he wll cut her scholorship and food.
BTW this family still keeps their NY plates though they have lived here for 3 months and have a massive attitude towards neighbors.
