See you and others making fun of McCain never give him credit for his investment of all of his political capital in campaign finance reform.
Now maybe you don’t care about such things and goodness knows leading up to the choice between him and Obama, dear Lord what better cause to promote than that which so worried the American people....again, campaign finance reform?
I sleep better every night knowing McCain and that other guy no longer a senator got that thing passed and y’all need to give him credit for this great legislative feat for which he will go down in history.
The Maverick, my man, the Maverick speaks.
And we should all shut up and listen cause this magician...well he got us campaign finance reform.
Y’all should be grateful.
“Yall should be grateful.”
Yeah, we should be grateful for Obammmy and how we shouldn’t fear him, right?
And McCain Feingold was a moronic bill by the way.
Undead Thread ping to post 41.
Count how many things you can find wrong in that post, extra credit given!
Yeah, McCain, biggest coverup since you covered up Obama’s evil past by declaring him ‘a decent family man’ thereby throwing the election in 2008.
I’m assuming poster Fishtalk is doing a sarcasm thing. I’ve lost interested in flagging my irony, myself, although it can get confusing in real life. The tipoff is the emphasis on campaign-finance “reform,” imo. The other name, btw, is “Feingold.”
My respect for John McCain’s endurance as a POW is unaffected by anything else he has said and done. My father knew John McCain, when he knew anyone but immediate family; now it’s a victory if he recognizes a person as someone he once knew. I expect that if Sen. McCain’s family were honest, he’s in about the same shape.
Aw, do you want to be narrowly partisan? It’s best to show generosity to a vanquished political opposition./sarc
JUGULAR! JUGULAR! RA RA RA!
CAROTIDS! CAROTIDS! SIS BOOM BA!
Kick ‘em where it hurts. Hit ‘em where they live.
Take! Take! Pit bull shake! SHOW NO GIVE!
After all, who needs that silly 1st Amendment? That is for sissies!
Senator, what was that again about having nothing to fear about Barack Hussein Obama as president? Hmm?
No, John McCain is in full control of his mind. I watched him close up (less than 10 feet away) for nearly an hour yesterday. I was impressed with how sharp he was. I am not a McCain fan. I worked to have him replaced. But the truth is he is sharp and very experienced at politics. I have worked with many very bright people, and I have to admit that John McCain is still bright and on top of events.
The event was a townhall at Yuma, Arizona. I was in the front row.
okay, I take the blame.
But I was kidding and being sarcastic.
Guess I didn’t do a good job.
Or did the smart people get it and just move on after their chuckle?
Enquiring minds want to know.
I got it, but reality and satire are often hard to distinguish during these harrowing times.
This president is the most notorious arms dealer I’ve ever seen. First he gives guns to Mexican drug lords then turns around and gives them to Libyan terrorists through the Benghazi “consulate”. And I’m sure it was probably Assad’s men that attacked it.
Darksheare....genius that person.
Note he or she even summons folks to see his or her stupidity.
Although sarcasm should be clear so again, I take the blame for my lack of edge.
I don’t know who Darsheare attributes the obtuseness to.
I can’t stand McCain and I go out of my way to point his last dumb, dumb thing he spent his political capitol on, with the power of retrospection we can see how petty and small that silly thing was.
We got campaign finance reform, a violation of free speech by the way, and this from OUR guy.
Heh.
And now he goes on TV reprimanding Obama that empty nothing head who wouldn’t let us even say Obama’s middle name and who called Obama all kinds of nice things he ain’t.
And I’ll say it again, and I’ll say it loud...
I sleep better every night knowing we got campaign finance reform but somebody tell McCain I’d rather he go away with his commentary and I’d have been happier if he’d have concentrated on beating OBama.
But soon Deathsheare will have me kicked off FreeRepublic.
Okay, I believe you. Not everyone gets dotty at their age. My Dad admired McCain, so I’ve tried to, even through profound political disagreements.
Is the brilliant Darksheare one of your buddies?
Cause I join in discussions with you all the time on the Sunday Talk show thread. You know I’m no dummy.
Neither are you cause it didn’t fly over your head.
Darksheare is as sharp as they come. If your post, intended as satire, pushed his buttons ... well, that happens to a lot of people in tense times.
Chalk it up to the crazy days we live in, and everyone can walk away with nothing but, “Oops” to say.
Hmmmm....
.....I accept all blame for my sarcasm not being clear.
But Darksheare, he did nothing wrong. He’s as sharp as they come.
Oh, six-of-one, half a dozen of the other. I have this fuss’n’fume with my husband all the damn time. Somebody has to say, “Oh, whatever,” and walk away towards wherever the wine is stored.
I’ve always liked you, read your blog posts and stuff, but for the love of God, don’t go acting like my husband.
