In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Geraldo at Large” Sunday night, Charles Woods, father of slain Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, said President Barack Obama did not do all he could to save the four Americans who were killed in a terrorist raid on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Obama should have reacted sooner, he said, because the consulate was American soil.
“I was contacted by military personnel yesterday, who told me an interesting fact. And that is any consulate anywhere in the world is American soil,” Woods said. “Any attack on an American consulate is an attack on American soil. “My question of the president would be this: Your Honor, I respect your office as president. But if this attack on American citizens, on American soil, happened 2,000 miles away from Washington, D.C. — say in Los Angeles or in Seattle — would you have waited seven hours before you sent the first airplane? Would you have waited seven hours until the attack was over? Would you have waited a couple of days until you had all of the videos and all the information before you responded in a responsible military way?”
Host Geraldo Rivera pressed Woods on his argument and suggested that he was “angry” at the loss of his son. That wasn’t the case, Woods explained.
“First of all, I am not angry at all,” Woods said. “In fact, Mr. President, if I had the opportunity of speaking to you face to face, and I would really love to, I would say this: ‘Mr. President, I respect your office. However, if you are responsible for the death of my son, I totally forgive you.’”
“This is about honor, courage and about love for America. And remember this, Mr. President: My son and the others died heroes and it’s better to die the death of a hero than it is to live the life of a coward. If you are responsible for the death of my son, I forgive you, I love you. I also love America.”
Well Obama’s certainly testing out the “life of a coward” part of that equation.
Geraldo just cannot understand why anyone would want to question the object of his undying adoration.
How can this man not be angry???? I don’t understand how he can say “Mr. President....I love you”. Obama didn’t watch while my son was killed and I despise zero for doing this to other people’s sons.

The procedures our SpecOps, Navy, Air Force and Army set up to rescue endangered Embassy personnel have been around for decades.
They get refined and updated as our Spec Ops and their backups obtain better equipment, faster/better humint and elint.
Our military was ready and waiting for their authorization from our Faux POTUS, the traitor in the Outhouse, which never came.
Obozo refused to pull the pin and authorize the rescue. He went to bed to prepare for a hard fund raising trip to Vegas.
Then, he and his evil minions lied and good Americans died.

But if POTUS says at 5pm DC time, “No military action, no crossing the border,” and then he becomes “unavailable,” then his last standing order stands until he changes it.
So if he went to bed, for example, nobody could change his standing orders.
I imagine that a lot of extreme military, CIA and State Dept. craziness was going down while Obama was sleeping. Aircraft must be told proceed, or return to base, or they fall from the sky. I imagine many HEATED arguments around the globe on phone, text and email, subject, “Well wake the damn president up!” Followed by, “I can’t! You MUST stand down the mission!”
Just imagine dozens of inbound planes, jets and helos. Ships moving at full speed into position to be “lilypads” for long-range over-water helo refueling. Airborne refueling tankers all head to the area. It’s a complicated ballet. The Pentagon is wide awake, the military is on full alert.
The rescue is in process, from the first minutes after the alarm.
Everybody in all the planes and involved HQs knows how many minutes/miles to the Libyan border, Benghazi, and their “bingo fuel” moment, when they must turn around or run dry and crash. Ships can “loiter,” but planes fall from the sky.

Barack 'voted present' Obama is everything American used to hate in a politician. A poltroon totally lacking in any redeeming quality.
Mr Wood is a very good man, and his son a perfect role model.
For decades yet before our nation’s founding, generations of American patriots have been raised to mount up and ride to the sound of the guns. Obama, being the anti-American and un-American Coward that he is, retreats from the sound. “Present”...hiding in his bed in the residential quarters of the White House.
Let me guess, Obama is offended by this statement. Or, maybe he doesn’t realize it just might be directed at him.
I can’t begin to know how enraged Mr. Woods must be. First, for his son to die in a firefight that never would’ve happened had we properly plussed up security for the consulate in the first place.. Second, to be so roundly disrespected by Obama, Clinton and most of all Biden.
Compare the media’s coverage of Mr. Woods to that of Cindy Sheehan during the Bush administration.
I couldn't agree more -- it's time to be furious. Obama has shown his incompetence.
However, whomever spoke to Mr. Woods was incorrect. Consulates and embassies are not sovereign territory.

That said, it's still outrageous and the time is right now to demand answers and accountability for the deaths of brave Americans.
Actually, he says “I forgive you”...but I get your point. God bless this man. God seems to be guiding him in his grief.
Woods is a Christian. His daughters are named “Faith” and “Hope”. “And the greatest of these is love”. Mr. Woods is the very model of a Christian. We are seeing a very great man. He has to be hurting from losing his son. My God! God’s Son was killed! We truly are seeing something glorious and wonderful! A Christian! No wonder Geraldo was confused. Oh God, thank you for Mr. Woods and the testimony he lived on tv for us!
You stand corrected. He did say “I love you” as we’ll as “I forgive you.”
