It is with great sadness and regret that I post: Joseph Phillips OD, aka BadJoe, passed away today, November 1, 2012, after a long illness. Joe wanted to hang on until November 7, 2012, but lost his struggle just a few days too early.
Joe was a patriot, a lover of liberty, and an independent-minded gentleman. He leaves behind family, friends, and a loving wife. He will be missed.
I’m so sorry. We have too few like him.
Too bad he didn’t request an absentee ballot. Goodbye BadJoe, whom I suspect wasn’t so bad after all.
Had the honor and pleasure of speaking by phone with Joe shortly after I joined FR. I remember he was originally from my neck of the woods, southwestern Pennsylvania.
RIP BadJoe. Prayers for friends and family.
Rest in eternal peace BadJoe. We don’t have enough like you.
Prayers for his loved ones.
He will be missed here by many of us.
RIP BadJoe from a fellow Class of ‘98 member...
Damn. I’m sorry to hear that. Please pass along my condolences to his family.
Whenever I see these type threads I like to post a reminder to put his info up on the memorial wall
You probably already know about it but some don’t and I like to see our fellow FReepers remembered in this way.
May he rest in peace.
I’m so sorry. Prayers up for his family and loved ones. God bless.
Gosh such sad news.He will be missed, prayers for his loved one’s,Fatima ((((Hugs)))
Godspeed BadJoe. Put in a good word for the rest of us.
And from another. RIP Joe.
I met BadJoe once at a National Freeper Function; can’t remember which one.
So long, Joe.
Rest in Peace.
RIP my friend. You will be missed.
Lord, look over his family and give them the peace that can only come from you.
Prayers up. I’ll tip one for BadJoe on the 7th and know that he’s laughing at me from the other side. BTT.
I see this just as a cold rain starts to fall in New Hampshire...I met him briefly many moons ago...RIP, Joe.
Prayers to Willa and his son.
Sorry to hear he didn’t beat his cancer, Joe was not only a friend on FR but a personal one since first meeting him 14 years ago!
Oh no! I remember visiting with him for a long time at the 2000 Bush Inaugural. He was manning the cloak room, and my feet had given out and he had a chair. We had a delightful visit, and I have missed his writing on FR, lo these many years. He will be missed.
