Fat chance for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s White House aspirations in the wake of his post-Sandy bromance with President Obama.

National Republican political consultant John McLaughlin said Christie didn’t do himself any favors with his enthusiastic embrace of Obama after Hurricane Sandy devastated his state — or with his arguably self-serving Republican National Convention keynote speech....

McLaughlin added that just “a couple of days after” Christie lavished praise on Obama, the president “certainly might have deserved some criticism, and still to this day, because the federal response in the area is nonexistent in a lot of ways.”

Christie has been unapologetic for his praise of Obama and noted his stumping on Mitt Romney’s behalf.

But I've quit saying, "I'll never vote for [the latest RINO]."

This is the first time I have said it. Iheld my nose to vote for McLame half hoping the clown would die the day after inauguration, but I voted for him.

I knew that Newt and Santorum would never get in so I decided that I would vote for whomever the GOP nominated.

But I draw the line at Rino TFB.

The democrats will not run Chris Christie in either the Presidential or VP slots. Just my opinion, but switching parties won’t get him there.

LOL at your second sentence. I admire your fortitude. I think I’m like a lot of FR people—we raised pluperfect Hell about Romney, but voted for him anyway.

How about we start making a list of who WE consider to be “GOPe or Insiders”.

IMHO it includes Tren Lott, now a lobbyist on K street who said in 2010 = we don’t need any more Jim DeMints around here. AAAACH. Aren’t we all sick of New Hampshire and the Iowa Cornhuskers choosing our entire GOP candidate? Let’s make that list.

Boo Hoo Boehner, da Bushes, McCain... Add on here, please.

He's done.

Get what use we can out of him, but keep him at arm's length.

It’s the NE Cornhuskers and the IA Hawkeyes. I’m afraid our little Republican primary voters will never overcome this loss or even have an idea of how to do so.

Her books are pretty hard to follow; need serious editing. But I do admire the one she did exposing the fallacies of McCarthyism. Joe McCarthy was more right than all his crtitics combined, one of whom was Prescott Bush. Another was Dwight D. Eisenhower.

The Bush name may to be toxic to many, but not to the Roving members of the GOP-e. Jebbie, I believe, will be their candidate. The opposition will be too fragmented to stop him.

NE Cornhuskers...... wow Blew that one didn’t I? I knew that - just messed up. Anyway how could I forget that Cornhusker kickback? Saw that weasel on TV the other day. UGH. Also saw Bart Stupak (D-MI)at a Packer game at Lambeau soon after he voted YES for Obamamcare. UGH - follow the money.

What’s the matter with these people in congress? Greedy, power hungry and they become wealthy while taking a $180,000 per year job. Makes me sick - name one that isn’t wealthy now.

As for the Republicans - here in WI, we’re still pretty conservative - whereas elsewhere the Republican Party lost it’s core years ago.

He is to fat to be a national candidate.

Sorry, that is the truth. In this day and age, image sells.

He is also saying there will be massive tax increases soon to pay for the storm. Not exactly a good career move.
