Union: 'Bain-style' killing of Twinkie (Romney's fault)
Politico ^ | Nov. 16, 2012 | KEVIN CIRILLI

The Bain attack is back.

This time it’s being used against Hostess Brands, the Twinkies and Wonder Bread maker that announced Friday it was closing. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka drew the comparison in a public statement Friday.

“What’s happening with Hostess Brands is a microcosm of what’s wrong with America, as Bain-style Wall Street vultures make themselves rich by making America poor,” Trumka said in a public statement. “Crony capitalism and consistently poor management drove Hostess into the ground, but its workers are paying the price.”

Earlier Friday, Hostess Brands announced that it would be closing, which the company said was precipitated by a workers’ strike.

Trumka’s comparing Hostess to Brain comes after an election in which former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney was criticized for co-founding Bain Capital.

Must read all the way to the second to last paragraph for the first mention of the strike which “actually” lead to the the declaration of bankruptcy, as promised, BTW.

For the next four year, no union will ever be at fault, no tax will be harmful to the economy, and Obama will not make a mistake.

And as is in this case it is the Union’s rank and file that will suffer.

Sure no one ever wants to do the same work for less money than they have been accustom to but it is better than being on the street looking for a job at a time when jobs are particularly hard to find.

“consistently poor management drove Hostess into the ground”
Well Richard Trumka, you finally got it right. The one consistent management decision that will drive any and every company into the ground is allowing a union into your company.

Would I have been pushing it to caption that photo:

“Trumka is Obama’s cream-filled Twinkie”?

“And here comes the Hostess twist: because Tim Collins of Ripplewood, was a prominent Democrat, a position which allowed him to get involved in the first bankruptcy process in the first place, due to his proximity with the Teamsters’ long-term heartthrob Dick Gephardt (whose consulting group just happens to also be an equity owner of Hostess)” http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-11-16/hostess-liquidation-curious-cast-characters-twinkie-tumbles

You can’t make money if you’re not selling anything. Especially so in the case of a bankrupt company. The owners don’t gain.

Sorry, Little Dick (in all senses), this was a killing perpetrated by the union, pure and simple.

Most people are on to this BS now.

I see no evidence of that.

Nobody, but nobody is seeing that the inevitable outcome of this is that the union will buy out the company, Michelle will take over as CEO with a $850K annual salary, “Twinkies” will henceforth be filled with creamed broccoli, and they will be renamed “Barackolees”. The name “Twinkies” will be retained by the current owners, but the last one off the production line will be bronzed and sold on ebay for $336,400. Plus shipping.

You heard it here first.

Ain’t life great?

A classic case of the union parasites killing the host.

I hope the each and every one of those union thugs enjoy the life of the unemployed and also enjoy having lots of friends come to visit and call them (bill collectors and repo agents).

What a wonderful Christmas present for these stupid, stupid people.

You cannot feel any remorse for anyone so stupid as to kill their source of income and then whine about it.

I see an Alinsky type statement; if you are offended by my “BS” wording, I apologize...maybe you even agree with Trumpka.
I see no evidence to the contrary.

I was not dissing you. I just think that you are attributing more intelligence to the 51% than they possess. Most of them are still fooled.
