I can't think of a person who was more irresponsibly and wrongfully portrayed in the media, with such horrendous consequences to him and his family.

I hope he owns them after this and then goes after that out of control prosecutor.

I wish I could be on that jury, I would make Zimmerman a rich man.

He should be suing Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson too, but Sharpton doesn’t pay off even when found guilty, and Jesse is still paying child support for his little bastard.

Wait till he sues and, better yet, files bar grievances against Team Crump. They have far exceeded ‘advocacy’ on behalf of their client; they have (seemingly) committed fraud and related ethical issues. They should all be disbarred for life.

Now I’m waiting to see if ABC News will cover this on their evening news tonight. They tend to skip any news that isn’t bad for Zimmerman. I don’t watch NBC, though. Will they mention it?

cut and paste from Wiki:

In 1904, sensational cocaine prohibition stories were selling well. The newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst published a false story that Oakley had been arrested for stealing to support a cocaine habit. The woman actually arrested was a burlesque performer who told Chicago police that her name was “Annie Oakley”. The original Annie Oakley spent much of the next six years winning 54 of 55 libel lawsuits against newspapers. She collected less in judgments than were her legal expenses, but to her, a restored reputation justified the loss of time and money.

Most of the newspapers that printed the story had relied on the Hearst article, and upon learning of the libelous error they immediately retracted the false story with apologies. Hearst, however, tried to avoid paying the anticipated court judgments of $20,000 ($300,000, adjusted for inflation in 2008 dollars) by sending an investigator to Darke County with the intent of collecting reputation-smearing gossip from Oakley’s past. The investigator found nothing.[28]

I didn't see it in the article, but I hope Zimmerman hires a lawyer with a record of success in big defamation suits.

L Lin Wood comes to mind.

It 99.9% won’t go to a jury.

I've thought the same thing. Gutman has said over and over that Zimmerman was told to wait in his car for police but he disobeyed the dispatcher's order, and that is blatantly untrue.

I was just watching the evening ABC news and I don't believe they mentioned Zimmerman's lawsuit. They tend to not report things favorable to Zimmerman. They never reported on the FBI investigation finding no evidence of him being racist. And just the other day when the news came out about the photo showing Zimmerman with a bloodied face, they apparently even disabled their comments on the story. I see no comments, which is impossible, and tried posting but couldn't:

I didn’t know that about Annie Oakley.

It kind of puts her in a new light. Most people threaten to sue and then fail to follow through...Annie Oakley sued 55 times. Presumably in 55 different jurisdictions. Back when travel was train, ship, or horse.

I don’t know about cowboy type toughness but going through 55 lawsuit over six years shows a certain bulldog tenacity that is intimidating.

He also ought to sue the ambulance chaser who convinced his attacker’s parents that they had a case.
