LOL - thanks for the warning. I'm quite possessive with my apostrophes.

He was back, and this is a fine video. The tune has hints of “Spanish Harlem”, and the production has hints of Phil Spector and the Beach Boys at the end.

Eric Carmen: “Make Me Lose Control”

“And so salsa arrived.”

Just for the record, “Conga” by “The Miami Sound Machine”, is not Salsa. It is a Conga...hence the name. The Conga has been around as long as or longer than Rock And Roll.

Salsa has also been around as long as or longer than Rock And Roll.

:-)

BTW...thanks for the Friday music selection...((HUGS))...listening now.

Last night was a trying Dad night. It took me til 8 to get him up...then get him to walk a few "laps", get something to eat, and STAY UP for at least a couple hours.

Right now we are trying to get him ready for the weekly heart clinic visit for his finger stick.

One of the great songs of the era. It was sung at William Casey’s funeral.

"Last night was a trying Dad night. It took me til 8 to get him up...then get him to walk a few "laps", get something to eat, and STAY UP for at least a couple hours."

That reminds me of a funny story:

Mrs. Spel used to bring a cup of coffee to me in bed every morning with the vitamin pills we each take. I would sit up, take the coffee cup and the vitamin pills from her hands then pop the viatimin pills into my mouth with a sip of coffee.

One morning I must have been particularly sleepy and stayed prone in the bed. I opened my mouth so that she could drop the vitamin pills into my mouth.

She said sternly, "Get up and take your vitamins!" I sat up, took the cup of coffee and vitamins from her hands and took them normally.

However, she NEVER brought coffee and vitamin pills to me again! I STILL don't understand why she stopped doing that!
