What these dumbasses don’t understand is it takes fuel to farm the food they eat, to transport that food to their tables, it takes fuel to power all of their conveniences, it takes fuel to keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is the engine of our economy!

I could go on and on but these friggin “greenies” will never get it until THEY are affected by it.

:: You would want the prices to go up a lot because it would drive the next stage towards renewables, ::

Gads, I hate idiots espousing their ignorance to the public. Each energy change was driven by market forces and lower costs.

We used to have just the sun (solar power) to keep warm, then some pre-conservative found a burning log. Cutting down other logs, he kept his family warm. Having a surplus, he sold the extra logs to his welfare-state neighbors (aka, Dhimmicrats); at this point he became a conservative. As more republicans clear-cut the forests, logs became cheaper.

And so on...

This elitist ideology is fueled by the desire for power and control in this country, and a eugenicist outlook toward the third world.

The domestic objective is to drive the population from the suburbs, to a more “controllable” urban environment.

The global objective is to PREVENT growth, opportunity, and industry from reaching the third world, lest they thrive, reproduce, and increase demand on resources.

Just like Liberals dumbing down the public school system for the self esteeem of the less smart or motivated - let's artifically jack up the price of cheap energy to make everything expensive.

How about renewables having to become more cost competitive instead, like wind energy has (somewhat) in the past decade, and solar energy (less so) with the recent glut of panel manufacturing?

Algae... facepalm.

Natural gas is certainly extremely low right now. It’s so low, that producers are backing away from drilling for it. What would help is if this administration would support exporting it in the form of LNG. But, they don’t appear to want to issue the permits to increase the exports.

Elsewhere in the news MSNBC Hates The Poor and Wants Them to Suffer via High Energy Costs

The Left either doesn't understand that cheap and plentiful energy is the greatest vehicle for across-the-board prosperity. Or...they understand and want more poverty and suffering.

***MSNBC host: Energy is just too darn cheap****

Ah for the good old days. Here is a scene from the movie and play BECKET.

Becket and King Henry are out riding and get caught in a rain storm. They come upon a few huts and King Henry yells...

“Give me fire and warmth!”

Becket: You will find no fire here sire.

Henry: And why is that!

Becket: Each hovel is allowed two measures of wood a year. One stick more and they are hanged.

Henry: My edict?

Becket: Your edict sire.

Henry: GIVE ME WARMTH!
*****

I read years ago that an English King was traveling through a village when he smelled the worst smell he had ever smelled.

Someone in the village was burning a new source of heat called “coal”.

The King had the man immediately hanged.

Isn’t something like this exactly what you’d expect to hear when a gaggle of anti-free-market collectivist sh*tforbrains are given a forum to brainfart their opinions publicly?

Environmentalists (like all Big State control freaks) hate it when reality gets in the way of their plans to control people. Peak oil meets fracking, peak oil loses yet again and environmentalists gnash their teeth.

It's amazing that a Lefty admitted what the "climate change/emissions" scam is all about.

Cheap energy = prosperity for the peasants, which makes them hard to control.

Expensive energy = poverty for the peasants, which makes them easier to buy.

This is why fracking and the cheap, abundant energy it will bring cannot be allowed to continue, and will not be allowed to continue.
