The taxes Israel collected for the Palestinian Authority but did not pass on should go to Israel anyway to cover the PA’s debts, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday, speaking at a Hanukkah event for Yisrael Beytenu party activists.

“I hear they’re saying that Israel froze the Palestinians’ tax money. We didn’t freeze any Palestinian money,” he said. “To this point we paid 700 million shekels advance salaries for PA workers and we paid another 900 million when we absorbed the cost of water and electricity that the Palestinians were supposed to pay for but did not… What we’re doing now, and will do for the next four months, is to take our money back. ....

That money is generated by the road taxes in the price of gasoline. Some bright boy a while back thought it was not fair that Palestinians pay Jewish road taxes, so they get a tax rebate.

Only problem is, they have to drive on Israeli roads to buy the gasoline in Israeli gas stations. Israel built ALL the roads in Israel, including the ones in the Palestinin Occupied zones.

First off, The Israeli’s should not be rebating road tax money just because someone is a muslim that drive on the road, that is racist bigotry.

Secondly, If you owe the Bank a thousand bucks, and your check gets deposited in your account and its a thousand bucks, don’t expect to buy a cup of coffee.

The money the Palestinians owe for electricity is the wholesale cost for the power generated by the Jews. Jews have to pay retail, but the Gaza strip refuses to pay the gas, water and power bills for years now.

So, in my opinion, turn the power, and gas off, till they pay the water bill. Then negotiate a new monthly deal with an automatic ten day shutoff notification.

You cannot make peace with spoiled brats, so help thise boys grow up by giving a bit of responsibility to them.

Amen...

Sure wish someone from Israel would take the time to publish the real cash flow.... That might help awaken the dim light bulbs...

The upcoming Israeli election appears to be turning into a major, perhaps historic, ass-kicking. Iran: Syria: other jihadists:

By that logic then it should belong to the United States. Israel would not exist but for US dollars.

3 billion a year, 1% of the Israeli budget. That’s the US dollars we presently get here, which is spent on US made armaments, chiefly lots of old M-16s. In the past, the amount was much more substantial. But I’ll make a deal. We’ll give back the US bonds presently held in our treasury, and give back the Bush Sr. loan guarantees that were never used, and we’ll call it a wash.
